Please help us for June & July   06/20/2017

This month we're hoping for a little bit of a boost this month or next, in addition to covering the regular bills, we could benefit from some hardware upgrades. STEX Collector's Set gifts can now be sent to you via digital download as well as regular mail if you wish! Every donation dollar goes toward keeping Simtropolis online and humming along. Your contribution counts! Hardware Upgrades As our website community software improves with more and more features, and as we bolt on additional features such as chat, the increased load to handle all these new toys is taking the server a bit to task. You may have noticed that we'd been forced to temporarily disable the chat as we worked out allocating resources for more optimal performance. Following this, we've applied a number of 'soft' changes such as caching options and experimented with server configurations (nginx as proxy, for example), so the hardware aspect is also an area we'd like to focus on. The last time we upgraded hardware was back in 2012, prior to the release of SC13. Your contribution means a lot! Your donation will go toward helping us to 1.) migrate to a newer server or 2.) at least get some ram/cpu/storage updates and any other infrastructure hardware or services. Donate and Get a Gift or Donate Any Amount Thanks so much! - Dirktator & The Admins

CDK - Coastal Development Kit

PLEX CDK content items for SimCity 4.

133 Files

  1. This CDK Industrial style is a working Industrial waterfront that brings the look and the sounds of a busy industrial harbor to your coastlines. This set of self-leveling, connecting lots provides plenty of jobs and lots of activity as it brings your industrial coastal areas to life. These lots are also immune to the game's "water-graphics" bug that affect many other water/coastal based lots.
All of the Industrial waterfront series lots either generate income via taxes or provide jobs. Several are Transit Enabled. Combined together, they form a busy and productive industrial waterfront that looks good while being functional. And if the water a'int your bag, these lots can be plopped on dry land and look pretty good as frontage lots for your railways.

This new CDK Industrial style has been updated to better accommodate future add-ons and has been optimized  to some degree. The previous first 2 add-ons have been combined into this single release. It can be installed over the existing version without first removing the lots in the game. In fact, the existing lots can be re-plopped at your leisure as the modifications are minimal and visually negligible.
Lots providing jobs require road access. The Industrial style mixes lots with and without jobs. This allows you to construct a fully developed coastal area without having to run roads to every lot. You can easily intermix and fill in blank areas with industrial zoning for even greater variety.
    * The PEG Leveler Tool was designed specifically to level coastal areas for use with these lots.

  2. The CDK3 Garbage dock (aka.. Sanitation Department Product Disposal Facility) uses a new cutting edge technology to get rid of your city's trash. Ok, ok... it actually uses an "over-the-edge" technology pioneered with the Pegadyne Garbage Chute. The garbage scows haul the trash out to "The Edge" and, like the chute, simply toss it over the side.
You can pretend that the scows are actually hauling the trash off to neighboring city, per some garbage deal you may have. Or you can even imagine that the trash to taken to a high-tech, state of the art & environmentally safe refuse elimination facility. But we all know they are just dumping it into the Abyss.
In order to keep the cost of disposing of your garbage as low as possible, the Sanitation Department has reduced overhead by eliminating unnecessary & expensive items...such as maintenance. This is most evident in the facility's four garbage scows, the S.S. POS... the S.S. Poo... the S.S. Tetanus... and the S.S. Chum.

The 2 lots (4x3 & 8x5) are functional garbage removal facilities... hybrids of a standard landfill and trash incinerator. They will appear in the Garbage Utilities Menu. Like the Garbage Chute, your city's garbage trucks will bring trash to them. The trucks will even drive slowly through the lot as if stopping to dump trash. Where a landfill stores your trash until it is filled up, these lots will hold it just long enough to dispose of it. The 4x3 lot disposes of 500 tons of trash per month... which is double the rate (and cost) of the Garbage Chute. The 8x5 lot, which also has a rail connection, disposes of 1,000 tons of trash per month.
If your city produces less than the capacities of these lots, then they will eliminate all of it. Otherwise, you will need more than one of these lots... or a landfill or trash deal to handle the excess. Use of recycling facilities and environmental ordinances can significantly reduce the amount of trash your city produces.
    * If you do not have adequate facilities to handle all of your city's trash, the excess will build up, eventually becoming visible in your city and greatly reduce wealth & desirability.
    About The Custom Query...
The lots contain a custom query that displays all of your city's garbage stats. Near the top, the number of tons of garbage the dock is processing is displayed. This figure is updated several times throughout the month, even when the query window is open.
The City Wide Stats displayed in the middle area of the query window are primarily the stats for the previous month as the stats only get calculated by the game at the end of each month. The Total Uncollected Garbage stat is also updated each month, but is not a monthly figure. It reflects the total amount of garbage in your city that you could not process in some manner. Keep an eye on this statistic. If it grows, you have a potential crisis on your hands and will need to expand your garbage processing capabilities. The ideal number for this stat is Zero!!
    * The Garbage Processed stat reflects all the garbage that was processed by any Waste to Energy plants, the Garbage Chutes and, of course, the Garbage Docks.
    * The Bodies Found statistic is a calculated indicator of the efficiency of your law enforcement.

  3. Less time in God Mode... more time playing!!
Designed for use with the CDK... but useful just about anywhere. THE LEVELER is a fast & simple alternative to using those hard-to-master and often fussy terrain tools.
This is a ploppable lot... not a tool. You plop it where you want level land... you bulldoze it... then you develop on it. No more three finger salutes to the God Mode Terrain tools just to level an area.
Also... No more destroying everything in the area when leveling. Surrounding lots will be unaffected when using this tool-lot. Offered in 2 sizes (4x4 and 1x4), you can control the area to be leveled by where and how you plop it. For perfect, level CDK & waterfront usage, plop it like a CDK lot. The tiles behind the lot will be level and ready for roads, etc...
For inland leveling, point the orientation arrow downhill and the area covered will level to the bottom side of the lot.
These lots have no dependencies... are free to plop and cost just a buck to bulldoze.

  4. The original PEG naval facilities are back!!  This initial offering features an all-new Battleship naval facility that has been re-worked from the ocean floor up... and offers a zillion new props and features. This new base establishes a completely new lot building methodology (CDKN) that will be incorporated into all subsequent naval facilities as well as all new CDK lots.
For starters, this new base (Navy Pier One) is a conditional reward... like the game's army and air force bases.  Each subsequent base will require a little more mayoral effort and city development before becoming available. This base requires a city population of over 30,000, a mayor rating of 45+, Seaport usage over 50, a city that is at least 10% water (notably less than the requirement for the Marina)... or completion of the good Fishing Boat Mission. The lot's dynamic icon info lists these requirements as well as the current levels of each requirement so you can see how close you are getting..

  5. This is the first volume of props designed for exclusive use with the PEG-CDK REC style lots. Intended primarily for use as a dependency file, the props it contains can also be used by lot developers. Used in conjunction with the PEG-CDK REC Seawall Kit, developers can now create their own CDK REC styled lots.
These props are all "offset-rendered". This means that they can visually extend beyond the edges of the lot for placement out over the water. The props included in this volume are:
Lot developers may use the props contained in this product to enhance the development of their own lots by referencing this material as a "Dependency" only. 6. The Navy likes it so much here, that they have decided to expand their port to include a new AEGIS Command Center. This new pier will be home to the most awesome and sophisticated vessels ever to sail in Harm's Way.
Imagine a destroyer the size of a WWII cruiser... and packing more firepower than a battleship. Match that up with the AEGIS weapons and defense system that is so TOP SECRET, that if we said anything more, we'd have to kill you. And considering how many downloads this lot will get, that would get rather messy!
This is an all new Naval Base with features and properties similar to the Navy Pier One lot. Its designed to be compatible with the CDK but can be used separately.  As with the Navy Pier One lot, it is a conditional reward with slightly higher requirements. Its transit enabled, a moderate polluter... but provides jobs to civilian workers as well as income to the city each month.
Using the new CDKN building methodology that is utilized by all new naval facilities, this second Navy Pier brings the base to life with new buildings and dockside props and personnel that shuffle & change throughout the day. The ship also deploys throughout the year so don't be surprised when you notice its gone. Don't worry... its a stout ship. It will be back...
Each subsequent base will require a little more mayoral effort and city development before becoming available. This base requires a city population of over 20,000, a mayor rating of 45+, Seaport usage over 75, a city that is at least 15% water (still notably less than the requirement for the Marina)... or completion of the good Fishing Boat Mission. The lot's dynamic icon info lists these requirements as well as the current levels of each requirement so you can see how close you are getting..

  7. The Navy is back and asking to expand their naval facilities to include a new base for their submarines. Due to your excellent leadership and direction, the Navy feels your city is the ideal location to expand their operations.

These modern submarines play a crucial role in the nation's defense and deterrent forces. Giving a new meaning to the old phrase, "Silent But Deadly...", these modern marvels are virtually undetectable as they patrol the world's oceans and project your nations power & influence.
The Submarine Base is the 4th in the the Navy Base chain of conditional rewards with each subsequent base requiring just a bit more of your mayoral skills. It has features and properties similar to the first 3 Naval bases but is notably larger at 12x5 tiles in size. It is transit enabled with two entrances/gates... and vehicle automata will travel through the lot via these gates. Like at port facilities, the base is a moderate polluter. But it provides jobs to civilian workers as well as income to the city each month. It's designed to be compatible with the CDK but can be used separately.
Using the CDKN modular building methodology that is utilized by all new naval facilities, this fourth Navy Pier brings the base to life with new buildings and dockside props and personnel that shuffle & change throughout the day. The two styles of submarines will also shuffle and change berths as the deploy & return throughout the year.
Each subsequent base will require a little more mayoral effort and city development before becoming available. This base requires a city population of over 40,000, a mayor rating of 47+, Seaport usage over 80, a city that is at least 20% water (still notably less than the requirement for the Marina)... or completion of the good Fishing Boat Mission. The lot's dynamic icon info lists these requirements as well as the current levels of each requirement so you can see how close you are getting.

  8. This is a RESOURCE file for the PEG-CDK3 Seaport collection of lots. It is a required dependency, specifically, for the upcoming break-bulk freight dock lots and the new freight rail stations.
The pack contains a ton of static, timed and random rolling stock & locomotive props. These are intended for use as props on various lots. These are NOT game automata... however, many will be released separately as such.
    * As the game automata trains are considerably under scaled, these props are larger... and scaled to look more appropriate on lots with properly scaled structures, vehicles, peeps and other props.
** Players and developers may use these props on their own lots... subject to the terms of the EULA  that is documented in the  included readme file.

  9. The CDK3-SP Container Seaport is a functional seaport that directly replaces the game's default seaport. This is the first and core piece of a series of CDK3 Seaport (CDK3-SP) modular lots that will allow you to build & expand your seaport area, both functionally & visually, to almost any size and the way you want it to be. An associated, functional Container Freight Rail Yard is also under development.
This Seaport lot has all the same properties, capacities and costs of the game-default seaport.  The lot is a different size (10x5)  so any instances of the game default seaport in your cities will have to be replaced. However, the good news on that is that the old seaports will remain functional until you get around to replacing them. You do not have to bulldoze them all before installing the new Seaport.

    IMPORTANT
Due to the limiting nature of the common seaport controller file used by all functional seaport lots, no other custom seaport lots, seaport mods or seaport controller files can be used with this seaport. The only exceptions are the PEG CSK2 Small Port... and an additional CDK3-SP "Break-Bulk" Freight Seaport that is under development.  Please read the included readme file for full details.

The new Seaport lot uses a gazillion new custom props and most of them are timed to change and/or move throughout the day. Ships arrive and depart twice a day. The booms of the large Post-Panamax cranes raise to allow easy clearance for the ships when arriving/departing... then lower to load & unload containers throughout the day. The yard crane switches from one staging area to another, the stacks of containers grow larger & smaller... and the rail and truck traffic change & move around.

    RAIL CAPACITY
Unlike the game default seaport, this new version allows a direct rail connection and can also receive freight by rail directly from Freight Stations or industry located adjacent to rail. This is accomplished by forcing the Seaport to also act as a Freight Station, converting rail freight to truck freight when it arrives.  Whereas the previous CDK Seaport version required that the lot be coded as a freight station, this new version does not. All the "mojo" is now handled in the transit enabling properties... which have also been streamlined to minimize associated traffic congestion.

** The lot is transit enabled for road connections to the driveways and a rail connection .  The lot must have road access in order to function properly but the driveways do not actually have to be connected. However, the rail must be connected to the lot for the rail connectivity to function.  Rail connectivity is optional. The Seaport will still function properly for truck traffic if you choose not to connect the rail.

*** The lot is located in the Water Transportation menu in place of the game-default Seaport icon.

  10.   * Updated 3/2/05 to include a missing mosaic texture.
This add-on pack for the PEG CDK Seaport Village adds 4 new lots to expand and enhance your Seaport Village complex. They can also be used with any of the CDK-OWW lots.
    The Plus Pack includes:
    1. A 1x2 seawall plaza section with cement stairs to provide easy pedestrian access to the seawall.
    2. A 1x1 'End Section' featuring a wooden ramp that can be used to put a proper ending (or beginning) to the seawalls.
    3. A 2x2 Inner Corner Plaza... similar in all regards to the CDK-OWW Inner Corner section. This version features concrete stairs for easier pedestrian access and a colorful mosaic created by famed artist & tile expert, Simantha Grout.
    4. A 3x3 Outer Corner Shop that can be connected to other Seaport Village Shop lots to form a seamless, continuous shopping structure of almost any shape or size. This lot functions as a large plaza instead of a COM$$$ with jobs in order to avoid the need to provide road access, which would limit your village design options. However, like the Random Shops, it also has a  random shop name  function with a unique set of random shop names and descriptions.
**This lot requires the following dependencies:
PEG CDK-OWW Development Kit Volume 1,
     PEG CDK-OWW Seaport Village
     PEG CDK-SV Random Shops

  11. Curved lots in Squaresville? Oh Shirley... you jest!! Don't bother pinching yourself...you're not dreaming. With the use of an innovative, highly sophisticated process I call "mojo", you can now break up that monotonous squared look prevalent in your cities with some seductive curves!   There have been numerous requests for rounded & curved lots... and quite a few for single-tile high wall sea walls as well. Two birds... one rock... BAM!! Most of the normal rules governing lot development were broken with this new approach. Its a bit like saying, "Screw gravity... I want to go up!"   But the end result bears fruit. Single tile lots covering 2 or three tiles and a collection of 21 new custom BAT models all combine to make the impossible... possible. I decided to make this style the new RTK... because it plops like the RTKs. Unlike the CDK sea walls, you must level the terrain at the top of the bank for these lots to work.   However, unlike the older RTKs, you don't need to worry about having even slopes or the water depth. Just level the Top... and Plop!! You can even control how high the walls are by raising or lowering the level of the lot above the water. New in Version 2.05: The repetitive gazebos on every outer corner have been replaced with a random prop family to add some variety. Every outer corner will now have either the gazebo or 1 of 3 new statue props. **This file currently contains an .exe installer suitable for windows users.  These files are in the process of being updated with zip files and this message will be removed once the update is complete.

  12. Our first specialty lot for the new CDK Old Wooden Waterfront style is the classic Seaport Village. Commonly found in most commercial ports and harbors in one form or another, the nautical themed shopping area and tourist attraction is always a winning combination and popular with locals and tourists alike.
Our Seaport Village is a CS$$$ lot offering jobs and income from taxes. The city will need to fork out some cash to get it going but its a private enterprise and free to the city once built. This lot is designed for use  with the PEG-CDK OWW style lots... but can be used stand alone or with any of the other CDK style lots. It sits on a 6x3 tile lot, is transit enabled, and provides CS$$$ jobs and income from taxes.
The beautiful, large yacht is also privately owned and a source of great mystery. The word on the dock is that it's the private party yacht  of the Mayor but nobody seems to know for sure... or if they do, they're not talking. But whoever owns it is one lucky son-of-a-seadog, that's for sure.

This lot is the core piece of a series or add-on components in the works that will expand the Seaport Village into a much larger and ever-growing seaside shopping complex and tourist attraction. Add-on lots will be designed to expand The Village along the waterfront as well inland away from the water... so be sure to leave room in your cities.

There are two unique stats listed in the query; Postcards Sold This Month & Reported Seagull Bombings. The Postcards Sold value is dictated by the city's population. The larger the city... the more postcards that will sell. Seagull Bombings are influenced by the current Mayor Rating and you can use this to gauge your performance.. The higher the rating, the fewer the bombings. If  fewer than 25 bombings are reported, then you are doing a pretty good job..
**This lot requires the installation of the PEG CDK-OWW Development Kit Volume 1 &
PEG CDK-REC Prop Pack Volume 1 which are also available here at this site.

  13. The CDK is back with several enhancements and some pretty cool night lighting. Modified from the original 'Highwall' style, this will be the only recreational style of CDK lots. The industrial style  and a new commercial style will be soon to follow.
The CDK lots are connectable and self-leveling, and contain BAT foundations and props. They will alter the surrounding terrain to assure "a good Plop" (almost) every time.
Added to this style is a new parking lot... lot. The Snack Bar also now provides jobs as well some income. Gone are the old default streetlights & generic trees. In their place are lighted trees, landscape lighting and new lamp posts with extra lighting effects. Night time on the CDK is a sight to behold.
This style contains eight CDK lots that will allow you to fully develop your coastal areas. Although each lot (except the Snack Bar) is a park, they will now appear in your Water Transportation menu for easier access. Its time to give the Parks Menu a rest.
    * The PEG Leveler Tool was designed specifically to level coastal areas for use with these lots.
** Existing Highwall-style CDK lots must be removed from you cities before installing the new CDK.

  14. As Mayor, you have done such a fine job that the Navy is just tickled pink (well... grey, actually) and is looking at your city as the ideal location to build a base for their reserve squadron of destroyers. These old "Greyhounds of the Sea" may be a tad long in the tooth but they are still a vital part of our maritime defense strategy. Like their namesakes, they may be a bit old but they are well maintained, very hardy and just as functional & productive as the day they slid down the ways.
This Navy Reserve Center is the 3rd in the Navy Base chain of conditional rewards with each subsequent base requiring just a bit more of your mayoral skills. It has features and properties similar to the first 2 Naval bases and fits on a 8x4 tile lot. It is transit enabled &  a moderate polluter... but provides jobs to civilian workers as well as income to the city each month. It's designed to be compatible with the CDK but can be used separately.
Using the new CDKN building methodology that is utilized by all new naval facilities, this third Navy Pier brings the base to life with new buildings and dockside props and personnel that shuffle & change throughout the day. The two piers are actual a single base model utilizing separate "veneer" models to provide different cargo & personnel details on each pier.
Each subsequent base will require a little more mayoral effort and city development before becoming available. This base requires a city population of over 30,000, a mayor rating of 45+, Seaport usage over 75, a city that is at least 17% water (still notably less than the requirement for the Marina)... or completion of the good Fishing Boat Mission. The lot's dynamic icon info lists these requirements as well as the current levels of each requirement so you can see how close you are getting.

  15. Although this file is intended primarily as a dependency for future PEG-CDK OWW (Old Wooden Waterfront) lots, it can also be used by lot developers to create their own CDK styled lots. The official CDK-OWW lots use these component props as do other lots designed to be compatible with this style.
The kit contains the following props:
    1. Front Facade - Basic 2-post, no fascia.
    2. Front Facade - Basic 2-post, board fascia.
    3. Front Facade - Basic 2-post, brick fascia.
    4. Front Facade - Basic 2-post, stone fascia.
    * Basic 2-post facades do not have the center pilings extended above the deck area. These are designed for use with the Chain Rail prop to act as a stanchion or safety rail which would be suitable for REC and COM related lots.
    5. Front Facade - Basic 4-post, no fascia.
    6. Front Facade - Basic 4-post, board fascia.
    7. Front Facade - Basic 4-post, brick fascia.
    8. Front Facade - Basic 4-post, stone fascia.

    * Basic 4-post facades have the center pilings extended above the deck area. These are not designed for use with the Chain Rail prop and would be more suited to IND applications.
** All Facade props can also be used on the side and rear of the seawall if desired.
    9. 16x16 (single tile) Outer Corner Deck Platform. This is the same 1x1 deck included in the CDK-REC pack except that the wood decking is angled for use on outer corners.
    10. 16x16 (single tile) Inner Corner Deck Platform. This is the same 1x1 deck included in the CDK-REC pack except that the wood decking is angled for use on inner corners.
    11. 1x1 Deck Platform with Stairs. Similar to the standard deck prop, but with inset stairs intended for use on the backside of the seawall.
    12. 14x1 Chain Rail. A nautical styled safety rail intended for use with the Basic 2-post facades.
    13. Public Pier. A long slender wooden pier that extends beyond the lot out into the water.
    14. Wood Ramp. Intended to be placed on the backside of a seawall to provide access from the area below.
    MISSION CRITICAL:
Also included are 4 STYLE files. One of these STYLE files must be installed somewhere in your Plugins folder. The STYLE files define which facade style fascia/facade (Brick, Boards, Stone, or none.) the seawalls will use globally throughout the game. Only one STYLE file can be installed at a time. You can easily change styles at any time by removing the existing STYLE file from your Plugins folder and installing a different one.
** The game's Shadows should be set to High when using the Pilings (no fascia) style. The shadows conceal the lack of visual texture behind the pilings which can expose the underlying game grid when the game's water graphics bug is tripped off.

  16. This is the inevitable evolution of the Channel Stream Kit... a variable width Canal system. You can now mix & match your single tile width CSK Channels with channels & canals you create of any width. Like the CSK lots, the variable width CSK2 lots are styled to blend with all areas of your city and look great in both industrial and recreational zones.
These lots are very similar to the PEG Pond Kit lots and plop in the same manner. Their pricing and YIMBY effects have been reduced substantially, however they still retain the same slope handling abilities of the Ponds and Streams.
This is the 'starter pack'. Numerous add-ons are in development to expand the channel-canal system even further and provide a vast collection of waterway lots for your cities.
There are 7 basic lots in this initial release, which are:
1x & 3x Straight Channel Banks - Standard straight channel / canal bank sections.

1x & 2x2 Water Sections -  Solid water sections that can be used to make your channels as wide as you want.

1x Outer Corner - Used to created smooth, finished corners Very flexible and can be used in a variety of ways to joins various lots together

1x Inner Corners (Squared & Rounded) - The standard corner sections in two styles; squared and rounded. Together, they can be used to create some uniquely shaped channels and basins.

Transition Tee to the 1x CSK Channels - Similar to the Outer corner... but with corner sections on both sides. Designed specifically to merge the variable width CSK2 lots with the single-tile width CSK channels.
** This Kit has no external dependencies although installation of the PEG CSK is recommended.

  17. Now you can extend your Streams with a more Urban look with this 'channelized' add-on for the PEG Stream Kit. Although technically an extension of the Stream Kit, these concrete lined channels evolved during development (feature creep) into their own, stand-alone mini-canal or channel system. They will merge seamlessly with the existing Streams but can also be used all by themselves. The new single tile wide Channels are a great way to have water flowing through your city without sacrificing a lot of real estate.
With the old and stained concrete look, they are grungy enough to look right at home in even the dirtiest industrial area. Yet, with the red tile wall caps, they have that old-world charm & Mediterranean styling that adds class to any residential or commercial area. Very flexible... with 2 styles of corners (square or round), a pedestrian bridge designed for use with the PEG Trail Park & Seasonal Trail Park, a roadway/network bridge and an extender lot to allow passage under elevated rail or highways, these channels can go almost anywhere. They are even mildly slope-tolerant and can traverse up/down smooth, modest slopes.
The kit also includes a Stream Transition lot for a seamless transition to & from the original Streams. Additional lots, including a waterfall and a lock, are being developed for the first add-on to the new style.
The individual lots retain a small taste of park & landmark benefits, however, their desirability values have been greatly reduced. They still provide a taste of the YIMBY, but they won't collectively blow out any caps. Their plop price has also been reduced significantly and maintenance averages $1 a lot/tile.
    * These lots have been relocated to the Water Transportation Menu for ease of use.
** The straight, 3x straight and straight Utility lots are slope tolerant and will allow the channels to flow down (or up) modest slopes.
*** All the channel lots fully cover the tile(s) of the lot... so there is no concern about matching adjacent terrain.

** The Channel Stream Kit has no dependencies.

  18. The sea air... the salt spray... waves crashing on the rocks while seagulls screech overhead as they circle in search of crabs scurrying amongst the rocks. Occasionally, the mighty fog horn sounds its great and mournful blast.
Gawd, I just made myself hungry for Clam Chowder!! Okay, who's got the Oyster Crackers?
This classic New England style lighthouse sits atop a rock island that you can plop anywhere in the water. Its self-leveling so you don't need to worry about water depth or altering the terrain in any way. It is also fully self-powered via a newly developed method so it does not have to be plopped near shore in order for the rotating light beacon to function.
This version of the Lighthouse functions like the game's default lighthouse in all regards, including plop & maintenance costs. It is a Reward, but it is not conditional. You do not need  to have a seaport for it to become available. This will allow you to also use it in non-industrial cities where a seaport would be useless.
This version of the Lighthouse also does not replace the game's default lighthouse. The primary reason for this is that the default lighthouse is land-based... and this version obviously is not. A forced replacement could cause issues when upgrading. With separate versions, you can continue to enjoy the default lighthouse or any replacement for it you have installed... or reclaim the land it occupies and replace it with this water-based version at your leisure.

  19. The SV Plaza Pack 1 includes 4 new small plazas to can be used to fill gaps around various Seaport Village lots and enhance the appearance of your Seaport Village complex. Although designed for the Seaport Village, the of course can be used stand-alone anywhere in your cities.
All of these plazas have the same properties of a normal small plaza. They will appear in your Water Transportation Menu along with other Seaport Village lots.
These are especially useful when mixing CDK-OWW lots, which are 2 tiles deep, with the 3 tile deep Seaport Plaza lots. These plazas use the same texture as the CDK-REC & CDK-OWW styled lots and can be used to enhance those waterfronts as well
** Keep in mind that many Seaport Village lots provide jobs and as such must have access to roads. If you block that access with these plazas or any other lots, the lots with jobs will soon become abandoned and distressed.
    This pack includes the following:
    1. 1x1 SV Plaza - A simple small plaza in the Seaport Village style. Includes a custom central planter-bench with modified seated automata that removes the chairs that accompanied them.
    2. 1x1 Deluxe Plaza - A small plaza featuring the lighted tree common to many CDK lots.
    3. 1x1 Parking Plaza - A simple, transit enabled parking lot that can be used with many CDK styles.
    4. 1x1 Medallion Plaza - A plain plaza featuring a mosaic of the official Seaport Village compass logo.
    Dependencies: None

  20. Our fourth and final foray into the realm of CDK Ferries is the granddaddy of them all; a large, centralized double-capacity Ferry Terminal. It will handle twice the volume (at almost twice the price) and also serves as the command center for your entire ferry fleet.
The lot plops CDK style and is designed primarily for stand-alone use. However, it does look good when mixed in with other CDK styled lots. Like our first 2 CDK ferry landings, it sits on a 4x3 lot and is transit enabled for avenues.
This is not a replacement for the original in-game ferry and can freely be used with any other functional ferry terminal or landing. In contrast to the original terminal, the CDK Ferry Terminal does not protrude several tiles out into the water. As the water depth is generally shallower nearer the shore, care must be taken to ensure that the water depth is deep enough for the ferry to operate. If it is not, the ferry will not function.  ( * see ReadMe file Developer's Notes for more details)
** Special thanks to BarbyW, Andreas, Blackbeard, ParadiseFarm, & Swamper77
for their assistance during the development of this project.

** Use of the CDK Leveler Tool is recommended for use with all CDK lots.

  21. Next in our CSK2 line up is the classic Draw Bridge. This is the type of bridge that "draws" the most attention from on-lookers as they can be quite a sight to see when opened to allow ships and boats to pass underneath.
For hundreds of years, Draw Bridges have been used to provide a convenient means to get road traffic across water... while still allowing water traffic to navigate past the bridge. Virtually all draw bridges are counter-weighted in some fashion to make raising the bridge much easier. This modern version, driven by gears and powerful electric motors that are concealed in engineering spaces built into the bridge foundation, is typical of many draw bridges built after 1930 and still built today.
This Draw Bridge is designed to allow Avenues to cross canals that are 3 tiles wide. The lot itself is 4 tiles wide, to accommodate the scows that appear when the bridge is open. All other aspects of the bridge are similar to the CSK2 Lift Bridges.
This bridge is not a static prop. It will raise and lower several time during the Sim day... and different types of scows, heading in different directions, will appear when the bridge is up. And as with all CSK/CSK2 bridges, the safety gates on each side of the bridge change with the bridge; down when the bridge is up and up when the bridge is down.
This lot plops as part of your channel/canal system. It is fully traffic enabled for all road traffic (peds, cars, buses, trucks, the General Lee, etc...) & you can see the traffic cross when the bridge is closed. When the bridge is open, traffic will continue to cross however it's not visible and just disappears as it crosses. This was done because the bridge stays open for 2-3 hours (game time) so that the player can actually see it open... and that's a long time to stop up traffic and would otherwise impact the game.
This lots have no YIMBY/NIMBY effect, They are cheap to plop and cheap to maintain.

    PEG CSK2

  22. Adding value and function to the PEG CDK, this new waterfront Fire Station will provide fire protection for your city on land as well as at sea. With all the properties of a large fire station, this fully functional fire station covers a large area and has two fire engines that can be dispatched to fires.
Also serving as the home port for the SimCity Fire Department's historic fire boat S.C.F.D Tinkle... ... ...named after famous fire fighter John Tinkle, of course... this fire station continues the proud & historic tradition of going down to the sea with some really bad-ass fire fighting equipment!
This fire station was designed for use with the CDK Industrial style but works well with the Recreational style as well. It occupies a 5x2 sized lot, is transit enabled, and provides jobs in the same manner as other fire stations.
This lot has no external dependencies.

  23. It just ain't a seaport without a Fisherman's Wharf !! The original Fisherman's Wharf returns having been rebuilt from the seabed up. This is a brand new lot and does not require removal of the original lot.
In any port area fortunate to have one, the Fisherman's Wharf is the focal point of all tourism as well as the central retail outlet for local commercial fisherman. With the finest seafood restaurant in town upstairs and an active fish market below, the Wharf is a constant hub of activity as well as a classic icon of the sea.
Small freight shuttle boats and water taxis will arrive and depart throughout the day... bringing customers from across the bay and picking up seafood to be delivered to other restaurants and shops in the area. At night, the market activity quiets down but the restaurant continues to serve diners well into the morning hours. Prepare to see many a limo bringing the city's elite & privileged to this popular tourist magnet.
This lot is designed for use  with the PEG-CDK REC style lots... but can be used with the IND style or as a stand-alone lot. It sits on a 4x3 tile lot, is transit enabled, and provides CS$$$ jobs and income from taxes. The interior of the restaurant is fully detailed right down to the red & white checkered table cloths. This looked great in the BAT but unfortunately, is all but invisible in the game without dramatically over-sizing the windows. Still, a small bit of it is visible at night.
There are two unique stats listed in the query; Fish Tons Sold this Month & Lobster Escapes. The Fish Tons Sold value is dictated by the city's population. The larger the city... the more fish that will sell. Lobster Escapes are influenced by the current Mayor Rating and you can use this to gauge your performance.. The higher the rating, the fewer lobsters that escape. If you are losing fewer than 25-30 lobsters, you're doing pretty darn good.
This lot requires the following dependencies:
    PEG-CDK Prop Pack (Volume 1)
PEG-CDK REC Seawall Kit (Volume 1)

  24. The Vandy Shipping Company has been bringing your industrial goods to market since anyone can remember. Everywhere you look, Vandy trucks are chugging by with a load of cargo going somewhere. Peer out into the harbor and you are sure to see at least one of their cargo ships loading local freight for transport to some distant port in the region or beyond.
This is the first of the new CDK3 industrial lots and its loaded to the hilt with every goodie we can pack onto it. Its a ploppable IND-D lot with jobs... transit enabled for street connections... and packed with shuffling props that move, come and go throughout the day.
The lot features 2 new ships models, the S.S. Trolca (pictured above) and the company's flagship, the S.S. Vandy. You will see both of these sturdy vessels tied up to the dock at different times.
The various cargos and trucks are all random props... and also shuffle throughout the day... generally winding down and disappearing in the evening. The warehouses are not "nite-lited" to reduce model size and resources... but they are illuminated at night by little elves with flashlights that we hired to hide inside them. You can't see them but trust me... they're in there.
This lot requires 3 fairly large dependency files... which are:
This may seem like a lot... and yes, you could say this lot has "dependency issues"... although I personally wouldn't because its an awfully bad joke. But keep in mind that this is the first lot of a whole new CDK style and those dependencies contain the core components and props that will be used by many, many new lots.
    * The dependency files are available in the CDK section of the PLEX.

  25. At long last, the CDK delivers a functional replacement for the game-default Marina lot. In fact, we've taken it a several steps further with a fully modular, multi-lot Recreational Marina CDK.
This initial lot in the kit is the replacement for the game-default Marina and the centerpiece of your new Marina complex. It has all the same costs & rewards of the game's marina except that it is a tad easier to earn. Its nite-lited, transit-enabled and features floating docks and boats that extend well out into the water. And as a CDK lot, it plops even with the ocean surface every time sothere is no more fussing with terrain height to keep the dock from plunging underwater.
The new Marina reward is one of 4 marina lots in the initial release... with many more associated lots to come. All the lots are modular and designed to easily fit together to form a single large Marina complex. On the water side, all lots have a fixed upper dock/boardwalk and lower floating docks that align with each other to form continuous docks. At the rear, each lot has custom parking lots designed to form a continuous and realistic parking area along the length of the Marina complex.
Each of the four initial Marina lots will be released separately so you can easily install only the lots you want. The other three lots will have this Marina lot as a dependency but the Marina lot itself is fully self-contained.
    * All custom models and props used in these lots have been optimized for reduced file size and game resource usage.
Other lots in this collection: (available separately)
    2x3 Parking Lot
A functional parking lot that also provides an open space between lots with extended docks. Also provides additional Marina Reward benefits
      3x3 Yacht Club
A ploppable landmark with CS$$$ jobs and additional Marina Reward benefits. Also provides a right-side "end" to the floating docks.
      3x3 Sport Fishing Complex
A ploppable landmark with CS$$ jobs and additional Marina Reward benefits. Also provides a left-side "end" to the floating docks. ** This lot has no dependencies.
