Please help us for June & July   06/20/2017

This month we're hoping for a little bit of a boost this month or next, in addition to covering the regular bills, we'd love to be able to do some hardware upgrades. STEX Collector's Set gifts can now be sent to you via digital download as well as regular mail if you wish! Every donation dollar goes toward keeping Simtropolis online and humming along. Your contribution is so meaningful, every dollar counts! Hardware Upgrades We've received a recommendation to consider some hardware upgrades to our ageing server. As our website community software improves with more and more features, and as we bolt on additional features such as chat, the increased load to handle all these new toys is taking the server a bit to task. You may have noticed that we'd been forced to temporarily disable the chat as we worked out allocating resources for more optimal performance. Following this, we've applied a number of 'soft' changes such as caching options and experimented with server configurations (nginx as proxy, for example), so the hardware aspect is also an area we'd like to focus on. The last time we upgraded hardware was back in 2012, prior to the release of SC13. Your contribution means a lot! Your donation will go toward helping us to 1.) migrate to a newer server or 2.) at least get some ram/cpu/storage updates and any other infrastructure hardware or services. Donate and Get a Gift or Donate Any Amount Thanks so much! - Dirktator & The Admins

      Chat is back...   06/22/2017

In order to conserve resources, we've disabled the global chatbar at the bottom of the site. Instead, the Chat can be accessed by clicking the top navigation tab. It will launch a new window. If you're not seeing this behavior, try clearing your browser's cache.

  1. Our second offering in the Lighthouse series features a replica of the Hooper Island Lighthouse which is still in operation in Chesapeake Bay, Maryland. A classic caisson style lighthouse, the Hooper Bay Light was first lit in 1902.
The caisson is sunk 13.5 feet into the muddy bottom of the Bay. The light stands 63 feet above the water. The inside of the metal tower is lined with white-glazed brick and there are 4 living levels, plus the watch room and lantern levels. This light was automated in 1961 and the keepers removed.  In 1976 the 4th order Fresnel lens was stolen and the Coast Guard replaced it with a solar optic.
This version of the Lighthouse functions like the game's default lighthouse in all regards, including plop & maintenance costs. It is a Reward, but it is not conditional. You do not need  to have a seaport for it to become available. This will allow you to also use it in non-industrial cities where a seaport would be useless.
Like the previous Lighthouse Island version, this lighthouse also does not replace the game's default lighthouse. The primary reason for this is that the default lighthouse is land-based... and this version obviously is not. A forced replacement could cause issues when upgrading. With separate versions, you can continue to enjoy the default lighthouse or any replacement for it you have installed... or reclaim the land it occupies and replace it with this water-based version at your leisure.

  2. By request...  this model is a replica of the Bean Rock Lighthouse in Auckland Waitemata Harbor, New Zealand... built in  1875. It is a cottage style lighthouse built on a metal skeletal foundation. Automated in 1912, the light is still operational today.
Like the PEG Screw Pile Lighthouse, this lot is a non-conditional reward that is designed to plop fully in the water. It is self-contained and self-powered... so you can plop it anywhere without concerns for a power source. The lot has the same costs & properties as the game default Lighthouse Reward. Once installed, the lot's icon(s) can be found in the Rewards Menu along with the other PEG lighthouses.

Included in the package are 2 versions of the lot. One is virtually identical to the PEG Screw Pile Lighthouse in that it sets on a pile of rip-rap (rock) and is designed to be plopped in any depth of water. The second version (SW) does not have the pile of rip-rap and was designed specifically for very shallow water. This second version is ideal for plopping on shoals and sand bars, etc... The 2 versions are in separate lot files so you can remove either file after installation if desired.

  3. Our fourth and final foray into the realm of CDK Ferries is the granddaddy of them all; a large, centralized double-capacity Ferry Terminal. It will handle twice the volume (at almost twice the price) and also serves as the command center for your entire ferry fleet.
The lot plops CDK style and is designed primarily for stand-alone use. However, it does look good when mixed in with other CDK styled lots. Like our first 2 CDK ferry landings, it sits on a 4x3 lot and is transit enabled for avenues.
This is not a replacement for the original in-game ferry and can freely be used with any other functional ferry terminal or landing. In contrast to the original terminal, the CDK Ferry Terminal does not protrude several tiles out into the water. As the water depth is generally shallower nearer the shore, care must be taken to ensure that the water depth is deep enough for the ferry to operate. If it is not, the ferry will not function.  ( * see ReadMe file Developer's Notes for more details)
** Special thanks to BarbyW, Andreas, Blackbeard, ParadiseFarm, & Swamper77

  4. The CDK is back with several enhancements and some pretty cool night lighting. Modified from the original 'Highwall' style, this will be the only recreational style of CDK lots. The industrial style  and a new commercial style will be soon to follow.
The CDK lots are connectable and self-leveling, and contain BAT foundations and props. They will alter the surrounding terrain to assure "a good Plop" (almost) every time.
Added to this style is a new parking lot... lot. The Snack Bar also now provides jobs as well some income. Gone are the old default streetlights & generic trees. In their place are lighted trees, landscape lighting and new lamp posts with extra lighting effects. Night time on the CDK is a sight to behold.
This style contains eight CDK lots that will allow you to fully develop your coastal areas. Although each lot (except the Snack Bar) is a park, they will now appear in your Water Transportation menu for easier access. Its time to give the Parks Menu a rest.
    * The PEG Leveler Tool was designed specifically to level coastal areas for use with these lots.
** Existing Highwall-style CDK lots must be removed from you cities before installing the new CDK.

  5. A wise warrior once said, "The best kill... is Overkill !!"  And so... we continue the CDK ferry trend with this latest variation designed for the CDK Industrial style. This is a fully functional, new ferry terminal. It does not replace the original game ferry terminal and can freely be used with any other ferry terminal or landing.
This new Ferry Landing is reduced in size... a mere 3 tile wide by 2 tiles deep to blend in better with other CDK-IND lots. This version also reverts back to a simple road connection that pulls double duty as both entrance and exit. All other properties and capacities are the same as the game's default car ferry.
In contrast to the original terminal, the Ferry Landing is a CDK lot which does not protrude several tiles out into the water. As the water depth is generally shallower nearer the shore, care must be taken to ensure that the water depth is deep enough for the ferry to operate. If it is not, the ferry will not function.  ( * see ReadMe file Developer's Notes for more details)

  6. This CDK Industrial style is a working Industrial waterfront that brings the look and the sounds of a busy industrial harbor to your coastlines. This set of self-leveling, connecting lots provides plenty of jobs and lots of activity as it brings your industrial coastal areas to life. These lots are also immune to the game's "water-graphics" bug that affect many other water/coastal based lots.
All of the Industrial waterfront series lots either generate income via taxes or provide jobs. Several are Transit Enabled. Combined together, they form a busy and productive industrial waterfront that looks good while being functional. And if the water a'int your bag, these lots can be plopped on dry land and look pretty good as frontage lots for your railways.

This new CDK Industrial style has been updated to better accommodate future add-ons and has been optimized  to some degree. The previous first 2 add-ons have been combined into this single release. It can be installed over the existing version without first removing the lots in the game. In fact, the existing lots can be re-plopped at your leisure as the modifications are minimal and visually negligible.
Lots providing jobs require road access. The Industrial style mixes lots with and without jobs. This allows you to construct a fully developed coastal area without having to run roads to every lot. You can easily intermix and fill in blank areas with industrial zoning for even greater variety.
    * The PEG Leveler Tool was designed specifically to level coastal areas for use with these lots.

  7. This industrial Warehouse lot was primarily designed as a filler lot for the Navy Port series. It is 4 tiles deep to match the depth of the naval base lots and is an ideal filler piece to uniformly span the gaps between bases while providing room for the larger vessels.

However, there is nothing specifically military about the lot so it can be used with other CDK lots. The new CDK IND Transition lots allow a smooth visual transition between the standard 2-tile deep CDK lots and this 4-tile deep lot and the Naval lots.
This lot can also be plopped inland and works well as industrial frontage lots along a railway. The lot contains numerous random props & structures and works well visually when several are grouped together to form an industrial complex.

The lot provides jobs and generates revenue from taxes. The lot is also transit enabled and vehicles with enter & exit the parking area.
** These lots require the installation of the PEG CDK II Industrial Style.

  8. Less time in God Mode... more time playing!!
Designed for use with the CDK... but useful just about anywhere. THE LEVELER is a fast & simple alternative to using those hard-to-master and often fussy terrain tools.
This is a ploppable lot... not a tool. You plop it where you want level land... you bulldoze it... then you develop on it. No more three finger salutes to the God Mode Terrain tools just to level an area.
Also... No more destroying everything in the area when leveling. Surrounding lots will be unaffected when using this tool-lot. Offered in 2 sizes (4x4 and 1x4), you can control the area to be leveled by where and how you plop it. For perfect, level CDK & waterfront usage, plop it like a CDK lot. The tiles behind the lot will be level and ready for roads, etc...
For inland leveling, point the orientation arrow downhill and the area covered will level to the bottom side of the lot.
These lots have no dependencies... are free to plop and cost just a buck to bulldoze.

  9. This latest addition to the CDK-OWW Seaport Village collection is a 2x section of shops that will add more variety to your village. The 2x Shops lot is, oddly enough, 2x tiles wide and is a CS$$ ploppable add-on designed for the PEG-SV Seaport Village. Like all OWW2 lots, it can be used with any other OWW2 style of lots, including the CDKM Marina lots. It features the same modular boardwalk and parking area... and plops seamlessly with all other OWW2 lots.
The lot also features a custom query and rotating query sounds... and is extensively nite-lited. The lot was intended to be used as a filler between 2 SV Corner Shop lots but can be used in any fashion you desire.

we strongly recommend reading The Official CDK Tutorial.

  10. The bell rings... the organ begins to play... and you're off to the races on a wooden pony, Try as you may, you never seem to be able to catch up to that damn horse ahead of you. Personally... I think the race is rigged.

No  Seaport Village   could ever be complete without some reason to drag along the kids. And if you have ever been on one, you'd recall the magic that makes a good, large Carousel so special... despite being a long ways away from an E-Ticket ride by today's standards.

Carousels have been large attractions at many seaside tourist traps... and now our Seaside Village has joined the club. This is a 2 tile wide, CS$$ RCI ploppable design for use with the PEG OWW2 Seaside Village series. The lot offers jobs, income from taxes, a custom query... and is extensively nite-lited. The lot also features a custom background sound effect of classic carousel organ music that can be heard whenever you are near the lot in the game.

  12. A variation off of the CDK-OWW Ferry Landing, this version is designed specifically for use with the PEG CDK Seaport Village collection. This is a fully functional, new ferry terminal. It does not replace the original game ferry terminal and can freely be used with them; CDK Ferry Landing on one side... traditional Ferry Terminal on the other.
The PEG Ferry Landings have the same plop & maintenance costs as the original as well as the same capacity. But that's where the similarities end. The Ferry Landing is wider but shallower in size (4x3 tiles vs. 3x5 tiles) and is transit enabled to allow avenues to connect directly to it... instead of the roads used on the original. This should ease some traffic issues associated with the default ferries that can lower desirability and mayor ratings. Optionally, you can place a road perpendicular to the lot and connect to this with high-volume one-way streets, roads or even streets.
This variation uses the Seaport Random Shops props which allow the two shops on the lot to be randomly different on each lot. The shops will also blend seamlessly with any adjacent Seaport Village lot, forming a continuous shopping strip/structure.
** Special thanks to BarbyW, Andreas, Blackbeard, ParadiseFarm, & Swamper77
for their assistance during the development of this project.
** Use of the CDK Leveler Tool is recommended for use with all CDK lots.
The PEG CDK-SV Ferry Landing requires installation of the PEG CDK-SV (Seaport Village) style and has these specific dependencies which most users of the CDK already have installed:
    PEG CDK-REC PROP-PAK Vol1
    PEG CDK-OWW Development Kit Vol1
    PEG CDK-SV_PlazaPak1
    PEG CDK-SV Random Shops

These Food Court Plazas will add a festive splash of color to your cities as well as provide your Sims with a much appreciated place to park their butts while grabbing a quick bite or just hanging out with friends. They were designed for use with the Seaport Village, but can be used anywhere you would place a normal plaza. In fact, they work so well on their own that they have been placed in your Park Menu next to the game's default plazas.
There are 3 Food Courts included; small (1x1), medium (2x2) and large (3x3). Each Food Court has properties that are identical to the corresponding sized default plaza.  The 1x1 Food Court has the "L" shaped planter on one side only and can be used to create larger Food Courts or custom snack and picnic areas.

  14. The SV Plaza Pack 1 includes 4 new small plazas to can be used to fill gaps around various Seaport Village lots and enhance the appearance of your Seaport Village complex. Although designed for the Seaport Village, the of course can be used stand-alone anywhere in your cities.
All of these plazas have the same properties of a normal small plaza. They will appear in your Water Transportation Menu along with other Seaport Village lots.
These are especially useful when mixing CDK-OWW lots, which are 2 tiles deep, with the 3 tile deep Seaport Plaza lots. These plazas use the same texture as the CDK-REC & CDK-OWW styled lots and can be used to enhance those waterfronts as well
** Keep in mind that many Seaport Village lots provide jobs and as such must have access to roads. If you block that access with these plazas or any other lots, the lots with jobs will soon become abandoned and distressed.
    This pack includes the following:
    1. 1x1 SV Plaza - A simple small plaza in the Seaport Village style. Includes a custom central planter-bench with modified seated automata that removes the chairs that accompanied them.
    2. 1x1 Deluxe Plaza - A small plaza featuring the lighted tree common to many CDK lots.
    3. 1x1 Parking Plaza - A simple, transit enabled parking lot that can be used with many CDK styles.
    4. 1x1 Medallion Plaza - A plain plaza featuring a mosaic of the official Seaport Village compass logo.
    Dependencies: None

  15.   * Updated 3/2/05 to include a missing mosaic texture.
This add-on pack for the PEG CDK Seaport Village adds 4 new lots to expand and enhance your Seaport Village complex. They can also be used with any of the CDK-OWW lots.
    The Plus Pack includes:
    1. A 1x2 seawall plaza section with cement stairs to provide easy pedestrian access to the seawall.
    2. A 1x1 'End Section' featuring a wooden ramp that can be used to put a proper ending (or beginning) to the seawalls.
    3. A 2x2 Inner Corner Plaza... similar in all regards to the CDK-OWW Inner Corner section. This version features concrete stairs for easier pedestrian access and a colorful mosaic created by famed artist & tile expert, Simantha Grout.
    4. A 3x3 Outer Corner Shop that can be connected to other Seaport Village Shop lots to form a seamless, continuous shopping structure of almost any shape or size. This lot functions as a large plaza instead of a COM$$$ with jobs in order to avoid the need to provide road access, which would limit your village design options. However, like the Random Shops, it also has a  random shop name  function with a unique set of random shop names and descriptions.
**This lot requires the following dependencies:
PEG CDK-OWW Development Kit Volume 1,
     PEG CDK-OWW Seaport Village
     PEG CDK-SV Random Shops

  16. Acme Algae... in operation since 1968 when, then Hippy, Alvin Aberrant read somewhere that the scum that kept forming on the top of his fish pond apparently had many commercial uses. Not one to pass up an opportunity to profit from a process involving no physical labor whatsoever, Alvin was off to the races and has become a leading supplier of pond scum... commercially know as Algae.

Very few consumers are actually aware of how much algae they consume & use on a daily basis. Algae, in one form or another, is a key ingredient in many consumers products. Brush your teeth... then spit & rinse away the algae. Wash your hair... then rinse and repeat out the algae. Its in your cosmetics, lotions, toiletries... and yes, even in your food.

Algae is a major ingredient in feeds for pets and livestock. Its also used in dyes... and as a major element in bio-filters that are used to scrub the CO2 out of factory and power plant smoke stacks. Algae has almost unlimited commercial uses... and more are being developed and discovered every day.

The Acme Algae facility uses a revolutionary new process (that I just made up) where powerful lights have been added to the inside of the tanks to increase the photosynthesis process to 24/7... and to allow the algae to grow throughout the tanks; not just at the surface. Obviously, this increases both the speed of the process and the resulting volume of product substantially.

The Acme Algae facility is a CDK3 ploppable lot with I-R (farming) jobs. The lot is located in the Water Transportation menu along with the other CDK3 lots. The single lot file contains all required custom material so the lot can be used without installing the CDK3.

** This lot has no external dependencies.

** This lot can be plopped on dry land and looks particularly good when plopped over-hanging a short cliff or slope.

  17. Time to get back to The Basics. This is a collection of 6, basic CDK3 lots that are quite similar to the standard CDK-IND lots. Included are an Inner Corner & Outer Corner lot, a 1x wide and a 3x wide Dock lot, a Ramp lot and a Steps lot.
Like the original CDK-IND lots, you can use these lots to form a developed industrial look along your coastlines. You can use these to replace your existing CDK-IND lots, or keep both styles installed and mix them up. These new lots do not replace the older style and will appear separately in your Water Transportation Menu.
All of these lots are 3 tiles deep, in contrast to the 2 tile deep CDK-IND lots. This extra depth includes a dirt service road that runs behind all lots and helps tie them together visually. The 3x wide Dock Lot provides jobs and is transit enabled for a street connection. The Inner Corner lot also is transit enabled for street connections but does not have jobs... so providing road access is optional.
Although designed for use along a coastline and partially plopped in the water, these lots can also be used on dry land and look pretty darn good  when placed next to railroad lines.

    * These lots require the PEG-CDK3 Resource Pack 1 and the PEG-CDK3 Vehicles Pack 1 dependency files.

  18. The man who invents the low-maintenance boat will be heralded as a God... except by Blackie, of course... who has been maintaining and refitting boats since long before anyone can remember. Blackies Boatyard provides all necessary marine services including storage and ramp launching facilities for smaller pleasure craft.
The 7x6 lot (7x2 land imprint) is a full blown CDK3 lot requiring almost all of the CDK3 dependencies. Its an industrial manufacturing lot with plenty of jobs and income generated from taxes. Like any industrial lot, its a tad on the dirty side... but nothing you can't handle.

The lots uses numerous new custom props with many of them timed to appear & disappear throughout the day. The driveways of the lot are transit enabled for more realistic connections to your road network. The main structure of the lot is not nite-lited (thus saving about 700k of memory) as this type of business would not operate at night. However, the lot is lighted with numerous street lights.

The lot is located in the Water Transportation menu along with the other CDK3 lots.

** This lot requires the following dependency files:
    PEG-CDK3 Resource Pack1
    PEG-CDK3 The Basics
    PEG-CDK3 Recreational Boats Pack 1
    PEG-CDK3 Trawlers Pack 1

  19. No real harbor could be complete without the classic commercial fishing marina... and Captain Jack's Landing is the fisherman's choice for putting in and selling the day's catch. Its all there... from the smell and feel of the salt spray to the splat of dump duck doo-doo on your shoulder. Captain Jack's has all the look and feel of a bustling commercial fishing port.
The 6x6 lot (6x2 land imprint) is a full blown CDK3 lot requiring almost all of the CDK3 dependencies. Its an industrial manufacturing lot with plenty of jobs and income generated from taxes. Like any marina, its a tad on the dirty side... but nothing you can't handle.
The lot also benefits your city... much as a seaport does. Where a seaport helps to promote industrial growth, the commercial marina helps promote commercial growth. Its a little bit lot... and a little bit reward... all rolled up into one.
In addition to these features, the lot also includes:
-Random cargo that shuffles throughout the day. -Random truck traffic that shuffles throughout the day. -Random fishing trawlers that come and go throughout the day. -A modular design that allows you to place the lots seamlessly side-by-side to create marinas as large as you want. -Transit enabled driveways for realistic, connected entrances. -Christmas lighting during the Holiday season. (game time) The lot is located in the Water Transportation menu along with the other CDK3 lots. The lot requires many of the CDK3 dependencies... most of which are available both on the LEX and the STEX.

    * No real fish were harmed in the development of this lot. The lobsters
however... which are not technically a "fish"... were delicious.
For help creating the perfect terrain for CDK lots, we strongly recommend reading The Official CDK Tutorial.

    PEG-CDK3 Vehicle Pack 1

  20. The Coast Guard has finally come to SimCity. This CDK3 conditional reward is similar to the game-default military bases but with less poillution and no increased crime... and a lot more panache.
No expense was spared in this 10x5 mega-lot that weighs in at nearly 5 megs. The lot is comprised of 7 nite-lit primary models and countless other custom props including boats, helocopters, static and animated coast guard personnel. The lot is extensively nite-lit, has transit enabled driveways... and includes a qustom query and query sound effect.
Three different types of Search & Rescue choppers will come and go throughhout the day. The main security gates will also open and close as the station shuts down for the night and reopens in the morning.

The lot is a conditional reward... yet is only available in the Water Transportation menu along with the other CDK3 specialty lots. It is fairly easy to earn. The requirements as well as your current status are displayed in the menu icon description. Alternately, you can earn the reward by completing the good Fishing Boat mission. (or just use the You Don't Deserve It cheat).
    * Although the lot is decidedly styled after the US Coast Guard, it is not intended to be specific to any one real-world nation. It is commonly depicted and referrenced as "Coast Guard Service" (not US Coast Guard) and the flag is a One Flag - Many Nations (OFMN) prop so the player can easily select any national flag to be flown.

    * All custom models and props used in these lots have been optimized for reduced file size and game resource usage.

** This requires the following dependencies:
    PEG-CDK3 Resource Pack 1
    PEG Security Fencing Kit
Optional: One Flag - Many Nations (OFMN) Mod

  21. As vast as the oceans are, they still do not contain enough fish to sustain man's ever-expanding appetite. Commercial fish farms are the planet's best hope to feed its citizens while preventing the natural fish supply from being depleted. The age old profession of fisherman is being replaced by the equally as old profession of farmer.
Although commonly referred to as "fish farms, they are technically fish ranches. Like cattle or sheep, fish are bred in captivity and harvested for food. And being grown in a controlled environment, they have no natural predators and are protected from diseases and pollutants that could reduce their numbers.
The costs of maintaining the fish and farms is more than offset by the reduced cost of harvesting. No expensive fishing fleets to purchase and maintain. No excessive use of petrol fuels consumed while trolling the oceans in search of fish. No risk of losing boats and crews to storms and other nautical dangers. Plus... no freakin' Greenpeace rubber boats to "accidentally" run over.

This lot is s standard CDK3 lot that is 4x6 tiles in size. The lot must be plopped out over the water... with either 2 or 3 rows of tiles on dry land. It provides Industrial Resource (farming) jobs in areas where that normally would not be possible. The lot is located in the Water Transportation menu along with the other CDK3 lots. The single lot file contains all required custom material so the lot can be used without installing the CDK3.

** This lot has no dependencies.

  22. The CDK3 Garbage dock (aka.. Sanitation Department Product Disposal Facility) uses a new cutting edge technology to get rid of your city's trash. Ok, ok... it actually uses an "over-the-edge" technology pioneered with the Pegadyne Garbage Chute. The garbage scows haul the trash out to "The Edge" and, like the chute, simply toss it over the side.
You can pretend that the scows are actually hauling the trash off to neighboring city, per some garbage deal you may have. Or you can even imagine that the trash to taken to a high-tech, state of the art & environmentally safe refuse elimination facility. But we all know they are just dumping it into the Abyss.
In order to keep the cost of disposing of your garbage as low as possible, the Sanitation Department has reduced overhead by eliminating unnecessary & expensive items...such as maintenance. This is most evident in the facility's four garbage scows, the S.S. POS... the S.S. Poo... the S.S. Tetanus... and the S.S. Chum.

The 2 lots (4x3 & 8x5) are functional garbage removal facilities... hybrids of a standard landfill and trash incinerator. They will appear in the Garbage Utilities Menu. Like the Garbage Chute, your city's garbage trucks will bring trash to them. The trucks will even drive slowly through the lot as if stopping to dump trash. Where a landfill stores your trash until it is filled up, these lots will hold it just long enough to dispose of it. The 4x3 lot disposes of 500 tons of trash per month... which is double the rate (and cost) of the Garbage Chute. The 8x5 lot, which also has a rail connection, disposes of 1,000 tons of trash per month.
If your city produces less than the capacities of these lots, then they will eliminate all of it. Otherwise, you will need more than one of these lots... or a landfill or trash deal to handle the excess. Use of recycling facilities and environmental ordinances can significantly reduce the amount of trash your city produces.
    * If you do not have adequate facilities to handle all of your city's trash, the excess will build up, eventually becoming visible in your city and greatly reduce wealth & desirability.
    About The Custom Query...
The lots contain a custom query that displays all of your city's garbage stats. Near the top, the number of tons of garbage the dock is processing is displayed. This figure is updated several times throughout the month, even when the query window is open.
The City Wide Stats displayed in the middle area of the query window are primarily the stats for the previous month as the stats only get calculated by the game at the end of each month. The Total Uncollected Garbage stat is also updated each month, but is not a monthly figure. It reflects the total amount of garbage in your city that you could not process in some manner. Keep an eye on this statistic. If it grows, you have a potential crisis on your hands and will need to expand your garbage processing capabilities. The ideal number for this stat is Zero!!
    * The Garbage Processed stat reflects all the garbage that was processed by any Waste to Energy plants, the Garbage Chutes and, of course, the Garbage Docks.
    * The Bodies Found statistic is a calculated indicator of the efficiency of your law enforcement.

  23. The PEG CDK3-SP Master Seaport Controller Mod is the definitive, single source central seaport developer file for all PEG CDK3-SP seaport lots. If you use the PEG CDK3-SP Seaports & the vast selection of related seaport complex lots, you should install and use this file... and install no other common or central seaport controller mods or files.

    * This mod uses the archaic yet effective method of alphabetic file & folder naming to ensure that it is loaded last into the game and overwrites any and all conflicting files. Yet, it is still advisable to make sure you do not have any conflicting or non-supported seaport files installed to safeguard your cities from conflicts that could prevent you from being able to load them in the game.

All seaport lots share a common Seaport Developer file... which has complicated efforts to develop custom seaport lots for the game which, by default, only included functional support for a single seaport lot. Multiple developers, attempting to make multiple custom seaports lots, traditionally had no option but to develop custom seaports that excluded the use of custom seaport lots developed by others.

This new Master Seaport Controller mod overcomes all the previous limitations imposed by the game's default common Seaport Developer file. When installed properly, it will also override & correct any errant or non-compatible functionality data in any previously installed seaports lots that are supported by the mod.

This mod will be updated to include new seaport lots as they are developed... including non-PEG seaports created by other developers. Fortunately, its an extremely small file and the ZIP file installation will be a simple, semi-automated process of unzipping the file and allowing it to over write the previous version with the newer one.

    * The included readme.htm file documents the procedure to be followed by other developers who wish to have their custom seaport lots supported by this mod.

This is Version 1.05 of the Master Seaport Controller Mod and currently supports the following seaport lots:

    1. PEG CDK3-SP Container Seaport.

    2. PEG CDK3-SP Break-Bulk Seaport.

    3. PEG CSK2Canal Small Seaport

    4. SWAP Package Handling Center (a seaport lot contained in the airport add-on package, used as an airport freight facility)

    5. PEG CDK3-SP Pier Seaport

    * Addition seaport lots will supported and added as updates to this file.

Extremely Important: To avoid conflicts that could prevent you from being able to load your cities, you should NEVER use any other seaportmod or a seaport lot not listed above in any of your cities. It is highly recommended that you un-install any other seaport mod or non-supported seaport lot from your game. If you are unsure if you have any unsupported seaports installed, we strongly suggest that you first use any seaport lot in a new, blank test city to ensure that it functions properly. Plop the seaport, save the game & exit. Restart the game & reload the city. If the city loads without issue, then the seaport lot in question is okay to use in your other cities.

  24. This is a RESOURCE file for CDKM (Marina) and other CDK lots. It contains 51 new props in total... of which 30 are new, custom BAT models.
Many of these boat models were combined into other larger prop models that were used in the initial CDKM Marina lots. You do not need this file for those lots.
    * Players and developers may use these props on their own lots... subject to the terms of the EULA that is documented in the included readme file.

  25. This is the primary resource or "dependency" file required for the new Coastal Development Kit (CDK3) industrial style. This new style is designed to add new industry specific lots to the CDK. It is not intended as a replacement for any other CDK style.
The resource pack includes 44 custom props that will be used in the various CDK3 lots which are designed to add functionality & productivity to your coastlines as well a new, industrial appearance. Although lower than the established CDK-IND lots (2 meters versus 3 meters), the CDK3 lots can be easily mixed and matched with the CDK-IND lots as well as other CDK styles.
This resource pack along with the other CDK3 prop packs also serves as a "development kit" for those who want to make their own, CDK3-ish lots in the Lot Editor. Once installed, all of the CDK3 props will appear in the Lot Editor prop list where you can use them as you wish.
