Custom props for Cities: Skylines

  1. This file is a very very small model of a cube (0.001m).

It is intended to be used to attach menu icons to assets, as explained in my How to add custom Menu Icons to (Almost) any Asset - The Hard Way Steam Guide.

It was given to me by an anonymous user, who authorized me to upload it here for all who need one to use.

    It's completely invisible in-game, so I can't really add a real screen-shot. Sorry.

For more information check the guide.

  4. From Wikipedia: "A torii is a traditional Japanese gate most commonly found at the entrance of or within a Shinto shrine, where it symbolically marks the transition from the profane to the sacred (see Sacred-profane dichotomy)."   Update 03/04/2015: I have added the Set: Japanese Temple Set v1.0 to the STEX which includes this prop plus more :-). Check it out here: http://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/30390-japanese-temple-set/     I always loved trying to create Japanese inspired cities in SC4 using items from the STEX and the Japanese site Simcity force. As Skylines is new I have yet to see any Japanese temples etc so far. So I decided to have a shot at making some custom content for this game!! Tearing my hair out with frustration and some fiddling with settings I managed to create this :-). This is my first attempt at 3d modelling in Maya LT using UV mapping and texturing. It is a simple Torii gate which you can use as a prop to create parks etc. I hope to have a shot at making an actual temple or something but I hope this prop can be of use.   Place in the C:\Users\your username\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Addons\Assets   Thanks for looking- Lew1984

5x5 is even more uncommon in my mind especially when it comes to custom content.

As for the building they're amazing and some of your best work, and the fact they came out at the time CS was at its lowest point in the STEX I think these are a worthy addition.

Neat idea, but man, this building didn't age well. :/

Zero7 was a very underated BAT, his texture work here shows why he should be on the pantheon of amazing BATers.

About 20 mins to render.  Lots of water tiles open for island building.  The beaches are smooth and waterfronts good for building large cities with ports.  The arrangement of tiles is not random but optimized for city organization.  The transitions in elevation follow natural contour lines.  The overall texture is smooth.    This is a good map for a long term project of building a large region of cities connected by sea, land and air.
