  3. Up to 10 lines each. Place the stops (Metro-Bus) between the Oak tree and the pedestrian paths (as shown in the last screenshot). Use car parks 2x4 and 4x4 tiles and put a lot of trees :). Look at the screenshots if you have doubts, or ask me instead.

  4. NOTICE: Version two is now up here on Simtropolis and has been updated to the same items as the previous version on Steam. So for Steam users, you don't need to do anything, just rebuild your avenues.   Apologies for any inconvenience caused by this. If you built avenues with previous versions I ask you to kindly rebuilt them with these pieces.   ---   Whats new in version 2?   - Menu Icons! Yes you read that right, no more scrolling and waiting for pop-up bubbles. This version comes with shiny new menu icons for your enjoyment!  Big thank you to Ratonces, who showed me how to do it.     - No more guide grids; easy, flexible placement; tolerates slopes.   - More realistic spacing of elements. Less fountains, trees and benches.   - Removed garbage production and reduced EntertainmentAccumulation, as well as Tourism numbers.   - Changed piece size standard from 6x10 to 6x12, fillers from 4x2 to 6x2.       The MAv2 is an Integrated Park, Roads and Electric Grid system. This version features major improvements in usability, look and versatility.   17 Assets in total, neatly packaged in one zip file, allow the creation of a beautiful avenue system with integrated park effect and electric transmission as a bonus.   The Guide Grid system from the previous version has been done away with completely and several new avenue pieces added instead.   These can be plopped anywhere(except in water, shore or on very steep terrain), and don't require to be placed next to a road as normal parks do. They are fully functional both as parks and as transport systems. You can zone next to them, build services, bus-stops, and even make your own Avenue Median filler parks (6x2) to customize the look of your avenues. Or zone in the median for some nice shopping spaces.   The Cims love to use the avenue, they sit on the benches, they walk on the median, they gather on corners, they take the pedestrian overpasses. It makes your city acquire an additional layer of liveliness and realism.   The pieces have a unified lanscaped look. Common elements are benches, fountains, trashcans, flower pots, trees, shrubs, and other vanilla props.   Some variety is added through the use of vending machines props, billboards and kiosks, as well as "crowd" props to bring some spots to life. More customization is available if you make your own fillers in the Asset Editor, or as future releases from me.   The zip file, (or steam collection, which I'll update next) contains all you need to build your Avenues.   My videos about the first version are now obsolete. I'll be making new ones in the next few days.   Here is a quick-and-dirty demo with youtube annotations, when I get some time I'll make a proper video.   [media]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=La_OaPUAvGY[/media]   An image tutorial will be added has been added to this page as well, but the main idea is this:     How to use - Simple General Instructions   Familiarize yourself with the pieces, which are now all in the parks menu and have icons.   Pick your first piece and plop it.   Select the two-lane one-way-road with trees tool and drag a 4 cell (300 construction cost in hard mode) stretch from an outgoing stub on the avenue piece.   Using the grid created by the road you just drew as a guide, draw another 4 cell road but this time in the opposite direction.   Now you can snap another piece into those stubs. Then repeat the above process, making sure to use the two-lane one-way-road with trees tool and ensuring you are always making 300 construction cost (6 cells) segments.   Rinse and repeat until you are done making any layout you want. Easy huh?   How to use - perpendicular avenues   To make a crossing between two perpendicular avenues, or a T intersection, use the 4 node avenue intersection piece. Plop it, then do the same as above, but when you drag from the stubless nodes, this time drag 2 extra, or 6 cells (450 contruction cost in hard mode) This is to account for the missing stubs on this piece. If you don't care about symmetry or about putting fillers in all gaps, you can drag as many cells as you want in length.   You can use the 5 node piece to make an intersection as above but with a 6-lane road leaving on one side.   How to use - Intersections   I've condensed U-turns, Ts and Intersections for the normal roads into one piece for each road type. For normal "intersection" pieces (ones without the word "nodes" in them), you plop the piece, then you can either leave it as it is for a U-Turn effect, drag the respective road type from one side for a T intersection, or from both sides for a full intersection.     Other   The rest of the pieces are fairly intuitive once you get the hang of how it works.    There are some Half-T pieces, which means the road joins the avenue but only on one side; and Double-T pieces, which means the roads join on both sides but dont traverse the median. Then there is a curve piece for making avenue corners, a straight piece, and a filler for the gaps between sections.   The filler you can use to fill these gaps left between pieces, or you can zone in them for some shops to be in the median, or you can make your own 6x2 filler parks to add variety!   Have fun building!     ---------   Suggestions as always are welcome, as well as any comments or problems you may discover.   fb.com/TPBsWorkshop   Steam Workshop   Youtube   Are you rich and want to help a Mexican buy his tacos?   5. This is small bus terminal, but for begining is just enough.
     
    You can squeeze up to 4 bus lines, connected with pedestrian paths.
     
    I recommend this near passanger train station for full usage.

  6. I had big traffic problem around my industry, so I decided to do something about it.
     
    And i got this idea (see pictures) - little bit lazy to write, you will get it as soon as you see it :)
     
    You need good interchange to make traffic run smothly, I recomment to use 3-Level Roundabout Interchange from TPB. You will posibly need to upgrade off and on ramps to highway and you are good to go.
     
    If you want interchange from the picture, it will be in .zip (interchange is from user which ended deleting the download, SO BE AWARE that that isn't my work) and also you will need to upgrade off and on ramps to highway.
     
    So in zip you will get: -left and right connector
                                   -Autobahnkreuzung (roundabout interchange)

  7. These 6-meter-high pedestrian bridges are not just a decoration, but they are functional too.
     
    The initial version contains a fixed road stub, which cannot be converted to other types of roads, such as a one-way road.
    The later versions use overhanging models, so you have freedom to use different roads.

  8. The latest SPUI is here, without traffic lights that once restricted its capacity. It is also optimized for the pathfinder. Local vehicles turning onto the freeway switch to the innermost and outermost lanes, while through traffic stay in the middle lane. Still, you need to plan carefully to handle the freeway traffic coming off onto the local roads. If all the vehicles choose to turn right at the next intersection, they will all line up in one lane despite two empty lanes on their left-hand side.    Size: 50 cells across and 50 cells along freeway. You need to preserve its spot before plopping it in.     Have you ever wanted to build a circular town or neighbourhood but just can't get those circles right? Then this is for you!
     
    This asset allows you to create a perfectly circular road layout with a few clicks of your mouse. Simply plop the four quadrants in place, place the missing roads and pedestrian paths, and get building!
     
    This is an improved version of my first circular town, which I left as a different download because I feel it still has its uses.
     
    Main differences are the presence of a central park, elevated pedestrian paths, and a street layout planned with permeability and congestion reduction in mind.
     
    Asset details
     
    Size: 64x64 per section, 128x128 assembled.
     
    Cost: 36117 per piece.
     
    Road types: 6 lane and 2 lane One-way Roads
     
    There are three main large circular roads and two smaller ones. The large outer road serves the first inner section of zonable land and collects all traffic from it. The middle one serves the next section in the same manner and finally, the inner-most roundabout is fed and distributes all major traffic on the two main radial arteries exclusively, reducing the number of intersections on it from twelve on the previous version to just four.
     
    You'll notice I've reduced the number of 4-way intersections considerably, and that the two-lane roads are now only connected to the nearest large road. This is a principle of urban design in street layouts as explained in the How to Traffic guide and I am hoping with this layout you'll have very little traffic problems.
     
    Unlike my first Circular Town Modular, in this one I recommend sticking to 6-lane one-way roads to fill in the missing spaces, as shown in the video. Make sure they continue in the same direction on the other side of the central roundabout.

    This Y-Stack interchange is perfect for an urban setting.  It has pedestrian crossings, flora and a pleasant design, making it an ideal candidate for a prominent spot in your city.
     
    The design is realistic and efficient for traffic, and features a 90 degree angle between two of the highways, with the third going off at 45.  This is quite useful in many situations, as you may know.
     
    While not perfectly symmetrical, I've made sure all curves and slopes are as smooth as possible. 
      The elevated ramps are made from One-way roads, limiting the speed on them to 40 kph, which is ok since usually these type of elevated curves do have speed limits IRL. However, you can always upgrade them back to Highway ramps if you need higher speed limits.
     
    Disclaimer: This interchange is still far from perfect and I'll be  updating it as I make it better in the future. Those highest level ramps probably need some further smoothing...  Check back here for better version in the future.

  11. You should be aware that this asset is very simple and its sole purpose is to facilitate the creation of a city in Cities Skylines to unlock the main services faster. So this road system , is aimed at those who want to start a city without failing and reach a population of 3,000 people or more , quickly and easily. Moreover, a one way road system, is the right choice to avoid problems of traffic congestion, despite what many people think.
    The asset measures 51x51 tiles and cost about $27000.

    The turtle is a traffic management solution for highway exits. It consists of an asset and an idea.
     
    The idea is to divide the traffic into three main flows through an advanced highway roundabout and traffic distribution system. Advanced to me, at least. Until now my highway exits were a real nightmare.
     
    This roundabout actually works. Cars will use all three lanes and traffic never stops moving, as shown on the animated GIF.
     
    What you have to do is place The Turtle between your highway exit and your town. Then connect the two stub end to the highway and the six lane road on the opposite end to your main residential or commercial hub.
     
    Now connect the roundabout ramps to industrial or other main areas and then again those areas to each other and to the main hub, making sure that the connections are far enough away from The Turtle.
     
    In my tests this system was able to comfortably handle the entire traffic of a 24k Cim town with one Turtle, with traffic reading never going red. 
     
    Placing one additional highway exit at the industrial area instantly turns the traffic reading towards the green.
     
    Note there are no public transportation systems at all in the test city, and all zones are high density.

    With these two assets, one gravel roads and one regular, you can build perfectly circular culs-de-sac for those suburban neighborhoods. They are made to be the smallest possible radius curves for each road type and include a single large tree in the center. 
     
    They can be attached to one another or used single. Please note that due to the small size of the circles you cannot attach roads to them on the diagonals, but only on the 3 remaining orthogonal points and the provided road stubs. More detailed and clear instructions are included in the images and in the download.
     
    Due to  limitations the regular road versions cannot be made to be the same size as the gravel ones. Sorry.

    Have you ever wanted to build a circular town or neighbourhood but just can't get those circles right? Then this is for you!
     
    This asset allows you to create a nearly perfectly circular road layout with a few clicks of your mouse. Simply plop the four quadrants in place, place the missing roads, and get building!
     
    Asset details:
     
    The finished product will be a 200 acre layout consisting of five concentric one-way road circles in alternating directions, connected by eight straight one-way roads, also in alternating directions. The outer road is a six lanes wide and the rest are two lanes. I recommend using four lane avenues to fill in the last four road spaces, as shown in the images.
     
    All roads are the basic type, so you can use this asset as soon as you have the cash for it, without having to reach any milestones.
     
    It has been designed for maximum zoning possibilities, with only a one tile gap between zones.
     
    This gap is filled by Pedestrian pathways that connect all twelve of the radial roads to each-other, acting like sort of alleyways and ensuring your Cims can get to their neighbour's barbecues while enjoying a leisurely stroll away from the noise and the traffic.

  20. A three level interchange to link two freeways with a roundabout (made with freeways parts). Once installed, like any mod, you can find it with the name "Echangeur trois niveaux" (in French).
     
    It helps fluidifize traffic with a reduced obstruction of the ground, tested and approved in a 300k inhabitants city.
     
    (I just saw that a nearly identical interchange was posted yesterday, I didn't copied it, mine was created like two weeks ago)

    I've noticed a lack of rail-road intersections, and found a mod that allows me to build them. So here's another.
     
    This train-track intersection has been extensively "polished" for maximum smoothness of curves.
     
    I know it's not perfect, but trust me, after more than 10 hours working on it, that's as good as it's going to get until they upgrade the networks or something.
     
    That result you see there is the smoothest I was able to get. The overpass is 9m high only, as opposed to the normal 15m of in-game overpasses. This results in a very nice and smooth slope for the bridge. 
     
    I found an issue where, if I left out the little stubs on the ends, and the user didnt put in a perfectly straight section, then the rail tracks would not branch properly. So this is why this asset is a bit larger than necessary, to avoid this issue.

    How to use
     
    In order to use this, you first need to have built a train station somewhere in your city.
     
    To plop this, delete 4 or 5 sections on a straight part of your rail network, then align the asset to one of the ends and plop it. Now connect the other ends.
     
     
     
    Installation
     
    To install, unzip file, then move the .crp file into \Users\*YOU*\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Addons\Assets
     
    Replace *YOU* with whatever your user account name is on your machine.
     
    Please note the AppData folder is hidden by default, you'll have to show hidden files in explorer to find it.

    This intersection can be a four or a three way interchange. It can also be highway to highway or highway to urban street. Choose the road type you want and have fun!!. I´m doing terraforming just because i´m bored of flat terrain. I really enjoy doing this. (Thanks Sims firehouse, you've made an amazing mod) It measures 104 (magic number) tiles along the highway, just so you have in mind. I hope you like it, and as always, thank you :)   Installation:
