    This is a Simcity4 to simcity5(2013) mod
    this mods the dirt roads and makes them streets
    and makes the all the roads black
    ​and this will also make the medium density avenue middle to what is on the ground
     
     
    How to install
     
    extract the RAR
    and place the package file in
    C:\program files(86)\origin Games\SimcityData

    This is my road mod
    This mod makes the Roads Gray like in simcity 2000 and 3000
     
    this will hopefully start my simcity 2000/3000 sets 
     
    How to install
     
    extract the RAR
    and place the package file in
    C:\program files(86)\origin Games\SimcityData
     
    i would thank MaxisGuildaume for helping me finding the right stuff
     
    to come
     
    • make a Wernerbrothers water tower
    • make the CamMod zoom in a bit more
    • and make the roads Simcity2000 & 3000 like < done
    • make a few simcity 2000 buildings
    • higher Clouds, hopefully

  4. Hello Mayors!

    I have just published new road and sidewalk textures. This mod gives you the option to install completely new asphalt textures and cobblestone roads. Standard roads are in European style and North American style, Cobblestone roads are available in gray and red. I've also included newly re-designed sidewalk and curb textures, taking influence from Berlin, Germany.

  5. FREE Roads and FREE Road Upgrades!
    Those of us who would like endless road building. Here is unlimited costs. You could start designing your city right from the start.
     
    Features:
    - Everything Associated with Road Building is now 100% Free. I went through all of the road costs, and changed all their values to 0.
    - There should be no costs when building roads with v1.8
    - Works with Futurized roads too! (added picture)
    - Should be compatible with existing road mods (as this only changes the cost of the roads)
    - TUNNELS, BRIDGES and  ARCH-BRIDGES are also free.
    - Streetcar Tracks and Train/Rail tracks are also free
     
    How to Install: (Easy)
    1. Unzip the downloaded file.
    2. Copy and paste the Mod-idealcastle-FREERoad.package file into C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\SimCity\SimCityData 
     
    NOTE: sometimes a new "region" will not register the free road cost. Once you restart simcity it should work perfectly. Existing cities/regions should be good without restart.
    If roads require costs, please restart simcity, this only happens once you create a new region. (might be a Maxis issue, where you create a new region and they use the server script instead, but once restarted, you are good to go!) 
     
    Have an older version? 
    - Please delete that, download and replace with the most current.
    - Version 1.7 has fixed the zoning bug, and with 1.8, every cost for roads have been set to $0 
     
    Any issues, concerns, comments please let me know. This should not affect other road mods, as this only modifies costs.

  6. Add regional free road to road menu
    Pedestrian Path, Service Road, and seven kinds road
     
    Install the package to SimCItyData folder
    Please do not use online

    I think the highway design was a failure.
    Capacity of the interchange is too small.
     
     
     
    This mod enters the debug mode maybe
    From the road or buried, can not be raised or lowered,
    I guess this road tool older than version 7.0

    New Highway Signs for your cities. This mod replace the model and texture of  the Sim City Highway sign.
    I wish the direction names could be dynamic, but they can't. Well for that i made a "rotated version", but install only one mod (Highway Sign).

  8. New Update

    For your city a new highway sign "Updated Version".
    This mod replace the model and texture of Sim City Highway sign.
    The model is the same like my German Highway Sign.

    I wish the direction names could be dynamic, but they can't. Well for that i made a rotated version, but you could only install one mod.

    Package Features

    - German highway sign
    - Standart highway sign
    - PSD files (Difuse, Normal, Gloss) for everybody who want change the texture
      Apologies I deleted the other signs, the new signs I have changed too much, so I made a new package of it.   The shadows, there is still a problem, but I was able to partially mitigate the problem.
     
    !DO NOT install more than one file, otherwise the mod will not work!

  9. Ok per request I am uploading one of my mods to Simtrop for users.
     
    Its 1 variations of the mod which I call 1.01 and 1.05.
     
    Both are similar except for extreme variable changes.  So one can described as conservative and the other liberal.
     
    Depending on how you use it and one of my own personal reasons was to trench low enough to create flat bridges without arching.
     
    It will allow you to trench lower before tunnels are created and allow you to go higher before a bridge mode takes effect giving you raised sections to pull bridges from.
     
    What you can do with it is really a limitation of your own imagination.

  10. It's been a while since my last release, but I've been working on a few cool things including a complete rework of my [stex=28655]Original Euro Road mod[/stex]. This one is mostly based on the Dutch road and sidewalk styles, but they fit in in most European aesthetics.

    Notes:
    * The bicycle lanes are only for decoration
    * Includes the darker textures for all roads

  12. This mod adds the overhead power lines for electric trains (which are called 'catenary') to all of your railroads. This was inspired by the power lines that go along dirt roads, and works exactly the same - which sadly also means that there are no power lines on intersections. Nevertheless, they look really good in combination with the recently released TGV mod (but none of my other mods are actually required, you can also just use it with the default train).

  13. Since I've made some progress regarding the saving of texture/RW4 models, I see no reason not to share my first texture mod. A lot of the changes made in this mod are merely for testing purposes, so they might change in future versions.

    Includes the following changes:[list]
    [*]Replaced all American-style yellow median lines with white ones
    [*]Made all roads the same dark shade of asphalt.
    [*]Replaced the 'striped' median for the highest density avenue with pavement
    [/list]I've included a screenshot of the same road layout with the original textures for comparison.

  14. By popular demand; the service roads that come with the oil drill as a seperate network in the roads menu. Does not require oil under your city and can be built right from the start. Freight vehicles can drive on them, making them an efficient tool to manage traffic. Note that water/power/sewage does not travel along these roads.

    To use, unzip the attached file and place it in your \Origin\SimCity\SimCityData folder.

    NOTE: Use at your own risk. This mod is a change to the game files and we do not yet know the effects this has on the game or how Maxis will deal with them.

      5x5 is even more uncommon in my mind especially when it comes to custom content.

      As for the building they're amazing and some of your best work, and the fact they came out at the time CS was at its lowest point in the STEX I think these are a worthy addition.

      About 20 mins to render.  Lots of water tiles open for island building.  The beaches are smooth and waterfronts good for building large cities with ports.  The arrangement of tiles is not random but optimized for city organization.  The transitions in elevation follow natural contour lines.  The overall texture is smooth.    This is a good map for a long term project of building a large region of cities connected by sea, land and air.
