    The modern small fire station

    This new building Mod replace the small fire station. I wish I can make the Mod as a new
    Menu Item but on my end every tests crash the game or I get other issues.
     
    I hope I can later fix that.

    DONT FORGET TO RE-BUILD THE SMALL FIRE STATION!


    FEATURES
    - all LOD support
    - new Lot size
    - new layout of the ground texture
    - new Light settings
    - new garage building

    #KNOWN ISSUES in single cities
     
    - Garage enlargement don't show up
    - Fire station can not be deleted from the city
     
    This solution will not fix the problem, also in single cities will not work the trick.
    1-delete the MOD "modern small fire station" from the SimCityData folder (... Origin Games\SimCity\SimCityData)
    2.-start the game and create a new region, load an empty city
    3.-place in the city, the small fire station (original by Maxis), save the game and exit the game
    4.-copy again the MOD "modern small fire station" in the SimCityData folder (... Origin Games\SimCity\SimCityData)
    5.-start the game and delete the previously created region, after deleting the region create again a new region
    6.-load again an empty city, place the "modern small fire station", save the game and go back to the main menu
    7. Go to region-overview, delete the region previously created
    8.-Now you can load your city where the error was occurred.

    You have to repeat this trick after each game restart. With exercise it takes less than 2 minutes. (I hope I can solve this problem later)

    The Berlin TV tower or "Berliner Fernsehturm" are a television tower in central Berlin, Germany. The TV Tower is easily visible throughout the central and some suburban districts of Berlin. With its height of 368 meters, it is the tallest structure and a very famous landmark in Germany.

  4. Ploppable Great Works (Offline Only)

    Well After Sometime they are out "Plopable Great works" Please Read below before downloading

    There is a small thing about them They are NOT bulldozable 
     
    and they will not be at a cost 
     
    let me explain
     
    Great Works have a few files one for each stage of building and one for scripting(Simulation) and then property data. 
    now Due to that there is a high risk of editing the scripting part by adding cost and making them bulldoze, due to editing the main file and not a copy of it so that is the reason
     
    and then the ploppable great works will not show regional wise they are for one city and that is all
     
    from there they are a tricky plop  so play around a little bit there 
     
    However this is NOT a Cheat mod if i can find a way to add cost with out harming the simulation part i will and update them

    Was originally part of the debug tools, it was bring back into the game with added features as a park for the homeless to take shelter.
    Tho, it may act as a park, it only attracts homeless people, aprrently, it still act as normal park.
     
    Users may use them for a campsite.

  11. (Offline Only) Commercial Parking Lot

    This mod adds a new building to the game; a commercial parking lot! When Sims go to work or go shopping, they can use this parking lot to park their cars or motorcycles! This new parking lot can also function as a decoration when you are designing your cities.
     
    This new parking lot CAN be bulldozed. There should be no problem with that.
     
    In order to use this building, you need Project Akar (can be downloaded here: http://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/29715-project-akar-ui-enhancement/) because the new parking lot is found under Akar's Custom Content menu.

  14. Swimming Pool Mod

    Hey everyone :)
     
    Things to know about this mod:
     
    - Changes swimming pool from mayor's mansion to a park rather than a module
    - Placed in Formal Parks menu (since it raises high wealth land value)
    - Still can be plopped as a module
    - Can be plopped anywhere (no snap points required.... exactly like how BoC does it's buildings)
    - Has park-like qualities (visitors per day, capacity, etc)
       a. Visitors per day: 500 (based on how many people visit my town's local pool every day)
       b. Capacity: 50
    - For some reason, you can only plop one (at least in my game). I am working to fix this.

  17. ProcsKalone's Rotated Trainstation

    This mod conflicts with "ExtendedWorkerDataInRollover". This causes it to plop on roads with its rail connection part - rendering it useless.
    However, by simply renaming the mod to "00rotatedtrain", for instance, fixes the issue.
     
     
    It's plop-able on roads, not the railway. No need for useless double intersections.
     
    Yes, it will connect to road not rail!
     
    No more need to tedious work with dirt roads ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HYxn74Olrc ) to measure where to place it.
    No more need to draw a railroad between two roads, plop the station, add the corresponding railway on the otherside, delete the station and the in-between rail and plop it again the way you want to... 
     
    All that hassle is no more with ProcsKalone's Rotated Trainstation

    It's not a perfect mod, connecting rail to it is a bit difficult sometimes and it doesn't look the way it's supposed to, but these are minor issues.. it's damn near perfect if you ask me!

    The Unisphere in Flushing Meadows - Corona Park is probably one of the more underrated landmarks in New York City. Since it's essentially a huge fountain, it looks great in any city park area, and as it was built for the World's Fair, it also fits in quite well with the modern Cities of Tomorrow aesthetic.
     
    In-game, this landmark replaces St. Basil's Cathedral (for the sole reason that it was the only building that had an appropriately-sized base lot), complete with new icon, preview image and text.

    This is another big one; it's created using the tools I'm working on to create buildings in 3d studio max (credits for that go to crimsondesigns) and importing them into SimCityPak and contains many features I didn't yet have the ability to introduce in the train station, such as a custom lot, custom decals and resource strings.
     
    Notes:
    This building replaces an existing one in-game. This building will grow in low density C$$ areas I'll hopefully be releasing the first version of these tools very soon (once I've done a couple more tests and have increased the user friendliness).

  22. Central Train Station

    I'm very proud to release the first true custom building model; a Central Train Station loosely based on a design I created for SimCity 4 back in the day. This is a proof-of-concept for the idea that we can eventually create custom models of similar quality to the ones we made for SimCity 4. Frankly this one still has a few rough edges, but consider that it's only the first - as I improve the process of creating buildings further they can only become more detailed and more impressive. With Maxis opening up the discussion for User Generated Content on their official forums (be sure to weigh in on the discussion); this is the kind of mods that I had in mind (besides NAM-like network mods).
     
    NOTE:
    This mod only replaces the building model of the original Train Station; this has a few consequences; The lot size is still the original size; the model will 'hang over' its lot at the sides. To make the train tracks look good, you should make sure that it is situated on a long stretch of unobstructed track. Only one train track is actually used - the second one can be drawn by the player underneath the other platforms (for fun you can also draw a tram track there!) The lot itself is quite empty The capacity is the same as the original train station As more modding options might become available, these shortcomings might be amended. I'm also still working on tools to improve how we edit the lots, decals and other elements.
     
    For those who want to create buildings themselves:
    I know a lot of you will be as excited about this mod as I am, and will be champing at the bit to create their own models for the game. I'm planning on taking the time to help people achieve this, although needless to say some 3D modeling knowledge is required. If you're interested, keep an eye on this thread; http://community.simtropolis.com/forum/94-simcity-2013-modding-open-discussion/ in which I'll soon start posting details on how I achieved this and how you hopefully can do so too.
     
    Updated 4/10/2013; there was a bug where the new model would not show up on the closest zoom level. Downloading the file again will fix this.

  23. Bus Shelter

    This mod replaces the default bus stop (which sticks out like a sore thumb if you ask me) with a custom bus shelter. This mod is exciting in that it's the first custom building model released for SimCity 2013 and is the result of a few months of research and many attempts at coming up with a way to get all of the relevant building data into the game.
     
    NOTES:
    I've tried putting in transparent glass in the shelter, but this proved to be surprisingly difficult to do technically. The 'bounding box' of the model is slightly of I'm expecting to make improvements to my process as I make more models and at some point I hope that I can make it simple enough to release for everyone - for the time being creating any building model requires a very strict amount of preparations to make sure that SimCityPak imports the model correctly. This means that I can't yet make a simple tutorial on how to create buildings, but hopefully after some more research this will eventually be possible.
