    Aon Center is a 62-story, 860 ft (260 m) Modernist office skyscraper at 707 Wilshire Boulevard in downtown Los Angeles, California. Designed by Charles Luckman, site excavation started in late-1970, and the tower was completed in 1973, the rectangular bronze-clad building with white trim is remarkably slender for a skyscraper in a seismically active area. It is the second tallest building in Los Angeles, the second tallest in California, and the 31st tallest in the United States. The logo of the Aon Corporation, its anchor tenant, is displayed at the top in red.

    A classic mid-century cantilevered building, this dual towered mid-rise is inspired by old architectural drawings from the 1960s.
    The bulk of this building is fictional (eg, forecourt, entrance foyer and underground parking), but the external metal skeleton, 'eau-de-Nil' colour scheme of the wall panels and massings are true to the original. 
    The building comes in four easily growable lots: two growable high-wealth Commercial Office lots (3x4 and 4x4) and two high-wealth Commercial Services Lots (4x3 and 4x4...there is always an insatiable need for CS§§§ in game). Use the CTRL key while zoning to enable ease of development.
    These mid-rises grow on all tilesets.

    The Willis Tower, built as and still commonly referred to as the Sears Tower, is a 108-story, 1,450-foot (442.1 m) skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois, United States.[3] At completion in 1973, it surpassed the World Trade Centertowers in New York to become the tallest building in the world, a title it held for nearly 25 years and remained the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere until 2014 and the completion of a new building at the World Trade Center site. The building is considered a seminal achievement for its architect Fazlur Rahman Khan. The Willis Tower is the second-tallest building in the United States and the 16th-tallest in the world. More than one million people visit its observation deck each year, making it one of Chicago's most popular tourist destinations. The structure was renamed in 2009 by the Willis Group as part of its lease on a portion of the tower's space.
    As of December 2013, the building's largest tenant is United Airlines, which moved its corporate headquarters from the United Building at 77 West Wacker Drive in 2012 and today occupies around 20 floors with its headquarters and operations center.

  4. The Posthouse

    The Post House
     
    The Post house is a small resident building in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire. It is an English rural building built in late 18 century. Name, “The Post House”, is written in gothic lettering on façade, but most likely the name has nothing to do with the mail or post office. The road is called Post Street, so I guess the name of the building comes from here.
     
    My BAT is very similar to real building, but not an exact copy. The back side and the extension is my imagination. However, I have got inspiration from 3D Warehouse Sketchup model of this house, but the BAT 100 % my own work. I haven’t used 3D Warehouse model’s textures as I feel that better result can achieve if I use my own texture bases.
     
    In real life the Post House is most likely a resident house, but I offer the BAT as CO$$ office. I need small rural offices for my SC4 plays, so I made this as such. I have included a red brick variation of this BAT and it is a R$$ residential building
     
    The model is HD and with Maxis and Dark Night version. Night versions share IDs, so if you have both versions in the city, those will most likely conflict. It has a custom foundation, so it is slope friendly.

    Some informations:
     
    Michael's Gate (Bratislava, Slovakia) is the only city gate that has been preserved of the medieval fortifications and ranks among the oldest town buildings. Built about the year 1300, its present shape is the result of baroque reconstructions in 1758, when the statue of St. Michael and the Dragon was placed on its top. The tower houses the Exhibition of Weapons of Bratislava City Museum.

  6. Dental Clinic

    Few people look forward to a trip to the dentist, but as every one knows, part of general health care is looking after your pearly whites. I've often wondered at how bad the Sims teeth must be, given that there is no specific health exemplar for dentistry and there are next to no such clinics in Sim City!
    This little building is inspired by a real such mid-century low rise building near downtown Los Angeles. I really liked the curved entrance façade and small, high windows within the curtain wall and of course, the unmistakable dental signage ensures that the building's function is immediately recognisable.
    As an added bonus, this building will function equally well as a stand-alone building or in a Wall-to-Wall environment.
    In game, I use buildings like this to supplement the main hospital function and I have modded the capacities to sit mid way between the clinic and standard hospital. But it will work equally well in a smaller city without the need for an additional hospital.

  7. The_H1: Hybrid Building for Metropolitan Services in Mexico City

    Is my second original BAT design for the SimCity 4, Is a massive building with 305 meters ( 1000 ft) tall ( I've been working in this new concept, I also made a street level rendering to better understanding the geometry). 
    The complex building is located in Mexico City, is not a simple tower with offices or a mixed use building, What is the difference in here? , ¿What is a Hybrid Building? A hybrid building is an extension of the city, it allows Schools, Hospitals, Hotels, Living, Offices, Supermarkets, Museums, and lot of things. The interesting thing is that a Hybrid Building is funded by two economies, Privated and Public, so this make a super profitable building, the whole population in the city wins the benefits because they can use the public services in the building, and the private investor could make healty bussines in too. Basically a Hybrid building has to have the 3 essential concepts of the sustainability: Economy sustainable, Social Sustainable and Bioclimatic sustainable. Enjoy it !

  8. Car Ferry Terminal

    While I quite like the look of the Maxis Car Ferry Terminal, after almost 15 years of seeing the same ferry building in game, it's time for an upgrade. 
    This is a fictional building which I made for that purpose.
    While the lot conforms to the existing Maxis Car Ferry Terminal, it does not replace the in-game building. 

    It is also slightly easier to place along the shore line - if you have ever placed the in-game version, you will have no problems using this lot as the principles are identical. 

    Additionally, it uses standard maxis pavement textures (rather than a batted base like the in game version) so the lot will blend in with any sidewalk mods that you have. 
    Just like the ingame lot, this lot is transit enabled for road, and as long as you draw the road into the lot, cars will drive through the building.
    Car Ferry buildings are a great alternative/supplement to bridges, and I use them to ease congestion on the road network.
    Please note the Car Ferry Terminal is a separate network from the Passenger Ferry Terminal. 
    Ferries that leave from a passenger ferry terminal do not use a car ferry terminal and vice versa. Now, this is no different from the function in the vanilla rush-hour game, but as there are so few custom ferry terminals available for download, it is important to point out. Therefore, I recommend placing this at least twice in any city tile (on opposite shorelines) to get use.
    The ferry terminal is a modern building with a bar and restaurant on the upper levels. 
    It has similar stats in terms of capacity and monthly cost to the Maxis Car Passenger Ferry Terminal, but provides a few more jobs.
    It is also limited to a maximum of 16 terminals per city tile and both this building and the in-game car ferry terminal count towards the 16 terminal number.
    Obviously it is found in the water transit section of the transportation menu and obviously it can only be placed in a city where in-game water is present; it does not work on canals or ploppable water. It has been tested to work in Vanilla (Rush Hour) and various NAM releases, up to NAM 35.

  9. 667 Madison Avenue

    667 Madison Avenue is a 24-story modernist skyscraper in Lenox Hill neighbourhood, Manhattan, New York City, U.S.A. Designed by Helpern Architects and constructed in 1989, it's acknowledged as Manhattan finest boutique office building. The 667 Madison Avenue Statue of Liberty is a bronze casting of the original plaster sculpture from which the New York Harbor Statue of Liberty was scaled. The work was acquired and installed by Leonard Stern in 2011 as a salute to American democracy and the legacy of the French-American alliance. Mr. Stern's father Max immigrated at Ellis Island in 1926 and often recalled the powerful moment of sighting the Statue of Liberty as his ship entered New York Harbor.

  11. New World Trade Center

    Here it is my last Gmax project ever. Three years of planning, two years of modelling and countless computer hours later, the new World Trade Centre, NYC is available on the stex. Created to remember the events and those who lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks ten years ago, the WTC is now available to all. The lot consists of all of the past WTC releases, updated for this model as well as the new memorial pavilion and plaza.

    Please note that in order for this BAT to function correctly, you will need to download all of the past WTC projects. (See dependency list below)

    The BAT is partially transit enabled and will provide 15600 CO$$$ jobs over a 16x22 lot. Hope you all like my newest BAT project. Thanks again for all the support with making this complex over the past few years.

    Need some more efficient way to go to space? Here it is, a Space Elevator!
    (STATS)      LANDMARK ONLY, 2x4, cost:3,000,000 (watch out, obviously it is ridiculously expensive to build such stuff) Monthly cost: 3000, landmark effect=max
    I built up to 21100m, including "Stratoshpere Station" at an altitude of 10050m, but you will probably hardly see it.   The tallest BAT ever made?
    DUE TO THE WAY IT WORKS, IT CAN BE BUILT ONLY ON EQUATOR.


    EDIT: too expensive? Yeah, fair enough, because game balance is more important than numerical realism. The cost is cut down by one digit for everything..

  13. Small Coal Plant

    This is a lightweight version of the coal power plant. Generates less pollution, 3500mW, and costs $175 a month to maintain. Good for small cities that need more than windmills but don't have enough cash flow for more expensive power facilities, and not enough room for the pollution generated by a large coal plant. This is my first BAT building as well as my first lot. Comments and and any other feedback are welcome. There's a small error in one texture (middle window facing stack). I don't know how to control displacement of textures using UVW maps. If you can tell me how, please do.

  17. DEDWD Highway Walls

    This download contains a set of highway noise barrier walls. Whilst being of a simple and cheap concrete and steel design, they have a more pleasing curved pattern look as seems to be the trend in a lot of road construction these days.
    They are modded to provide a very healthy Park and Landmark effect, so the sims living and working near them will appreciate it. They also have a significant pollution reduction factor, so even though they can't reduce the sim traffic noise, they can remove the pollution affects assoicated with them. Plop a few of these beside a highway, avenue or road and see the positive effect they have on the surrounding buildings.
    There are ten lots in the set; some straight, some with corners, some diagonal and some overhanging the lot to cover those blank tiles beside the on/off ramps that you can never use.
    The lots all have the base texture removed, so the ground texture underneath will show through. This is good as the highways don't have a texture under them, so the lots match. But the lots sometime suffer from the "missing base" bug where the base appears blue/black.
    I'm working on a Menu Management Lot (MML) mod for these, so they don't clutter up the Misc Transport menu when you don't need them. These lots are BSC Tracking Enabled (BTE) which means they may contribute to Reward Chains.

  18. Urban School

    In real life, many schools teach students from Kindergarten all the way through to the end of Senior School, and, in this ghastly era of economic rationalism where every public institution must return a profit to justify its existence, many are also forced to host more lucrative adult evening classes.
    Having schools in SC4 that cater for Elementary through to High School is nothing new (for example see my Bourke St Public School: Bourke St Public School), but combining junior, senior and adult education in the one campus hasn't been done before (to my knowledge). 
    The Urban School combines all three functions. 
    It is crucial to note that this school is not designed or modded to be a radical lot. If you want a radical lot that increases education levels with no cost and taking up no space, then this is not for you.
    Placing this lot merely emulates all three functions of the Maxis Large Elementary School, the Maxis Large High School and the Maxis City College in terms of Capacity, Radius, Cost and School Effectiveness vs Average Age categories; using the upper limits of each school type to create a single multi-purpose institution. It houses up to 14,500 students and has a very large coverage radius. EQ Boost and Population vs Distance stats are the same as the standard Maxis schools.
    The Bat itself is fictional, and is based on any number of more modern educational institutions. 
    The central entrance area houses adminsitration, cafeteria, gymnasium/indoor courts & auditorium; the junior school is housed in the smaller wing, and the senior school laboratories and workshops in the larger wing.
    The adult college uses the senior wing after 5pm once all of the students and day teachers have gone home.
    This is a large building and lot, weighing in at 8x8 tiles (a bit over 4 acres in the old parlance) and has ample room for a soccer pitch, grassed relaxation areas and the typical asphalt surfaces where countless kids can graze their elbows and knees when falling over.
    It provides 390 teaching jobs.
    Visually, the lot is best placed on a corner, following the contour of the front driveway area.
    Like all my Bats, I have thoroughly tested this concept in both a Vanilla game and a full (4+GB) plugins for over 500 Sim Years in each and haven't observed any abnormal occurrences. In other words, all education levels increased when placed, desirability increased, rewards were unlocked, teachers went on strike when funding was dropped etc, etc.
    However, if there are any issues, please report them on my thread (Repository of Garbage, Broken Dreams and Disappointment).

  19. Berliner Schloss (Reconstruction Berlin Palace)

    The Berlin Palace (German: Berliner Schloss or Stadtschloss) is a building in the centre of Berlin, located on the Museum Island at Schlossplatz, opposite the Lustgarten park. It was a royal and imperial palace and served as the winter residence of the Electors of Brandenburg, the Kings of Prussia and the German Emperors. The palace was heavily damaged by Allied bombing in World War II. Although it could have been repaired, the palace was demolished in 1950 by the German Democratic Republic authorities, despite criticism. The palace is currently being rebuilt, with completion expected in 2018. The reconstructed palace will be the seat of the Humboldt Forum, a museum for world culture which is a successor museum of the Ancient Prussian Art Chamber, which was also located in the Berlin Palace. The Humboldt Forum has been described as the German equivalent of the British Museum.

  20. Passenger railstation with center platform

    This is a rail station with a center platform that fits really good into suburbian areas.
    It's modeled after the motto, that smaller stations don't have to look that very spectacular, so don't complain about its more or less boring look .
    It's fully transit enabled and pathed (a BIG thanks to GoaSkin!!!). Itcosts 250$ to plop and 25$/month to maintain, has a passenger capacityof 5,000 and a Lot size of 10x3 tiles.
     
    Oh, and have I already thanked GoaSkin for making the custom paths? :-) Thanks for that!
     
    There are no external dependencies, everything you need is included in the zip.
     
    P.S.: As soon as pathing is completly finished, a similar station for the GLR will be available.

    600 Madison Avenue is a 25-story high-rise building located in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, U.S.A. Built in 1965 by Emery Roth & Sons, the building offers several commercial offices.

    The model is available in two versions - Landmark and Commercial Office. Both are corner models.
    With the custom LODS it's possible to add furnitures as props on the balconies in case anyone wants to do it.

    Christ the Redeemer

    Cristo Redentor is a 30 metre Art Deco statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, created by French sculptor Paul Landowski and built by the Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa, in collaboration with the French engineer Albert Caquot.

    The statue is located at the peak of the Corcovado mountain in the Tijuca Forest National Park overlooking the city of Rio. As a symbol of Brazilian Christianity, the statue has become an icon for Rio de Janeiro and Brazil. It is made of reinforced concrete and soapstone, and was constructed between 1922 and 1931.

    Cristo Redentor is a Landmark that comes in several versions. It's a pretty complicated BAT, I've tried to keep it simple...

    Start by downloading either the Darknite or Maxis night versions (xx_DN or xx_MN respectively) not both. If you're unsure, download the Maxis Night version.
     
    Versions:
    1) Statue with Observation Deck, is an overhanging prop that sits on 1x1 lot. Costs §5000 to build and §150 per month.
    This version has the statue and plinth atop the stone viewing platform that sits on top of the mountain. It comes with a separate staircase, on a 2x1 lot. (zero effect, zero cost)
    Delete folder 'Cristo Redentor Observation Deck' if you don't want the Observation Deck.

    2) A standalone version on a 1x1 lot.
    This version has only the statue and plinth standing directly on the ground.
    Delete folder 'Cristo Redentor Standalone Statue' if you don't want the standalone statue.

    You can use both!

    3) The night versions come in 7 different colours. You can only use one version, please delete the versions you don't want (or just remove them from your plugin folder).
    Do not delete them all! You need at least one.

    There are no external Prop dependencies, although the Dark Nite version requires SimFox_Day_n_Nite_Modd.
     
    Disclaimer: I have tried to test all of these but there's so many versions I may have missed something. If you find a problem please let me know.

  23. Bedford Square

    This Bat pack is a facsimile of building in Bedford Square, London, WC1. These are not exact copies, façades are close to real buildings, but the back sides are mostly of my imagination. I have also been very creative with the corner buildings. Still I hope that these give a feel of Bedford Square architecture. In total this pack consist 12 BAT models.
     
    Bedford Square is built in 1783 as an upper middle class residential area. It was a part of the speculated building boom, which saw London grow to North and West during late 18th Century. Bedford Square is one of the best preserved Georgian Squares in London and thus I feel it is a fine example of the Georgian architecture.
     
    Today these buildings are mostly commercial offices, but I have lotted these as residential buildings. As these were at the time of the building. The wealth level is bit of touch and go, because today a such of flat in London would cost a fortune. Still I feel that High Wealth in SC4 would require certain level of grandeur, simply being old is not good enough, so I lotted only stucco buildings as High Wealth and brick face ones are Medium Wealth. My compromise and these can be easily change if needed.
     
    The corner buildings are available as ploppable CO$$ versions and I have included a few models as 45 degree diagonal bonuses. I haven’t lotted diagonals and as I have a little experience about diagonals, I haven’t yet figured out how to use those efficiently. May be some can and is able to use bonus diagonals.
     
    The model is HD and with Maxis and Dark Night version. Night versions share IDs, so if you have both versions in the city, those will most likely conflict. Due the nature of the wells, these are not slope friendly and are at the best on relative flat terrain.
     
    If there is a demand for SD versions, I might consider it. So if you want SD BATs, please make a request.

    Most buildings occupy a full lot, so the dependencies are essentially optional. However, a few lots have space on the back, so I have used some HD props on those.

  24. Convention Center

    Though fictional, this building is inspired by some of the modern architecture of China which shows an amazing combination of self-assuredness, ebullience and seemingly gravity-defying engineering.
    Sitting on a 6x6 lot, this is a large building with the lower three floors alone providing almost 8,000m2 of floor space per floor. At its highest point, the building is 8 stories tall.
    There is also a combination of exhibition halls (including high-clearance spaces), conference rooms, cafeterias and indoor/outdoor spaces. The entire building is arranged around a pleasant, treed central courtyard
    There are very few Convention Center buildings available for SC4, and even fewer that are actually *modded* as a Convention Center. This building provides some much-needed competition in that space. 
    This BAT functions as a reward-lot and Convention Center in game. 
    In addition to providing your sims with 154 highly desirable civic jobs, it will massively help alleviate the commercial demand caps that can hinder city development by giving an additional CAP relief of 270,000 CO§§ and 270,000 CO§§§ jobs in the region. Given the way that the game is designed, in addition to providing health, education, safety, etc, using rewards is an absolutely necessary part of being able to develop large cities and regions.

    * It is offered as a reward without needing to meet pre-existing conditions.
    * It is located in the REWARD Menu 
    * It can be placed more than once in a city. 
    * It DOES NOT over-write the ingame Convention Center (or any re-lotted versions there-of), so can be used in conjunction with the standard Maxis Convention Center reward.
